Despite my initial thought that blogging in 2013 was one of my worst years ever.... 2013 wasn't such a slow year in Classy & Fabulous history. I had 142 posts (we'll count this as 143), up from 2012's 115 posts and 2011's 144 posts. Not bad!!
January 2013 - 13 posts
- The Bride and Groom registered for wedding gifts and didn't kill each other doing it. Win!
- My family had a baby boom - twins in January and a baby girl the previous December. Baby baby baby!
- Documented a craft fail (that eventually turned into a craft win - that just got hung on the walls this week!)
- I tried on wedding dresses!!! Which actually happened in December 2012, but apparently I posted about it late.
- I found out the world's largest gathering of Vietnam Veterans had moved their reunion to my wedding day. And in the end, it wasn't the biggest crisis, beyond the fact that hotels were way too expensive on my wedding day.
- Finally met half of the new twin boys in my family.
- Created the Big Wedding To-Do List
- Met my college friend's baby girl - the first in our group of ladies. Oh my heart!
- Blogged about STDs - as in, Save the Dates.
March 2013 - 12 posts
- Said Yes to the Dress - by borrowing it. Note to self: it's really time to return that dress, actually.
- Posted pictures of my new favorite Pennsylvanian.
- Attended a Bachelorette Party in Chicago - with BFF in tow, who had just found out she was expecting my niece!
- Debated the Pros and Cons of a Wedding Planner - I didn't hire one, and I lived without.
- Freaked about Wedding Color Schemes - and SURPRISE! I shouldn't have worried.
April 2013 - 16 posts
- Blogged about Easter 2013 - where Mr. RH got baptized and his family came to support him.
- Talked about My Favorite Cup of 2013.
- Discovered I'm a person who looks better with my hair pulled back.
- Had my first bridal shower with my college friends
- Found out a friend was a member of the Dead Parent Club... and realized I feel like president of that club, and it sucks.
May 2013 - 20 posts - Most post-heavy month of 2013! I believe it was because I was participating in the "Blog Every Day in May" challenge.
- Had a close-encounter of the bird kind at our house. And was in possession of hawk feathers, which is illegal.
- Talked about my Dream Wedding Shoes, and the trouble I was having finding them.
- Worried that people wouldn't have fun at my wedding. Silly, silly worry!
- Discovered that Pinterest Lies!
- Blogged the first (of dozens) of posts about wedding earrings. I think this was worth it!
June 2013 - 13 posts
- Celebrated my Future-Husband's Birthday!
- Celebrated Two Years of knowing my love.
- Flipped out once the wedding date was 100 days away. Mr. RH celebrated by telling me I was "over-complicating" things. Oh no he didn't!
- Had another bird-encounter. Let's hope 2014 is bird-encounter-free!
- Celebrated a college BFF's wedding. Sobbed multiple times because I was next! Also was happy because I felt kinda-hot in the pictures... success on the workout front!
- Talked Engagement Photos and the dirty details involved in pretty photos.,
- Whined (and wine-d) while talking Wedding Invitations.
- Celebrated my (freezing, lakeside) Bachelorette Party - Part 1 and Part 2!
- Celebrated my Goddaughter's Baptism. One of the most priceless days of my life, for SURE!!
- Posted TONS of Engagement Photos over two different posts. For serious, my husband is SO HANDSOME omg. And there were actually 3 photo posts. Dang, sister!! (Reign it in next time, self.)
- Celebrated a Year of Being Engaged! It went so fast.
- Went on a mad crafting spree for centerpieces AND completed a big DIY job. It's like nesting before childbirth.... only it was before a wedding. And nobody gave birth.
- Had the BEST Wedding Shower Ever!! What a HUGE blessing!
- Kicked off my wedding-month by flooding my bathroom for the second time in a year and a half. Barely survived being murdered by my dad.
- Celebrated the single-digit wedding countdown with triple-digit temps outside. Only freaked out for 12/24 hours per day. WIN.
- Ironed out wedding details like nail-polish colors, canvases for decorating the reception, and the DAMN seating chart.
- Declared that I had found the Perfect Rehearsal Dinner Dress.... only for it to be returned.
- GOT HITCHED. Anybody reading for Wedding Recaps in 2014?!
- Posted Honeymoon Recaps Part 1 and Part 2. Reading this is a little depressing as I'm sitting here main-lining carbs with a snowstorm blowing outside. Somebody TAKE ME AWAY.
- Had so much fun re-living Month 1 of marriage. It was a mostly-fun month, but dang it went fast!
- Celebrated Fall with my adorable nieces and nephews. Why are they so stinking adorable?!
- Had our first official holiday as a married couple - Halloween 2013! Pretty awesome pumpkins, if I do say so myself.
- Celebrated the birth of my BFF's baby!! This was definitely one of the top moments of my year.
- Got stressed about playing decorator to our newlywed home.
- Survived a tornado right outside Mr. RH and I's workplace. We were extremely blessed to not be affected by something right outside our door.
- Finally posted about my Goddaughter's Baptism - from August. You could say I was a little busy!
- Recapped Month 2 of Marriage. Oh the fighting! Yikes.
- Posted most of my favorite wedding photos in a desperate plea to help order some groupons for photos on canvases before they expired.
- Realized that HAPPINESS is a warm, sweet baby girl.
- Shared a simple recipe for red velvet dip that shrunk all my pants. RUDE!
- Recapped 3 Months of Marriage - has it seriously been that long?! Dang.
- One of my favorite yearly blog posts - the Classy Bookshelf Year in Review!
- And last but not least - Christmas 2013. Our first married Christmas was a very merry Christmas, indeed. Also, check out those cute twins in that post. I die!

It was definitely a hectic year on the blog (and oh yeah, in my life), and there were many times I wondered if anyone would notice if I just gave it all up, cold turkey.
But I'm SO glad I trucked through and got so many of these memories up on the blog. 2013 was definitely a year to remember, and luckily I'm going to extend the happiness a little bit longer by posting wedding photos coming up soon.
I can't believe 2013 is over. I wonder what 2014 is going to hold!!

Whew, it was quite a year! And I have to say, I really enjoyed going on the wedding journey with you. :) I don't want to sound blogger-mushy or anything, but having you here as a sounding board and inspiration as I planned my own wedding was so nice. And because your big day was right before my sister's, it was really like we were all in this together! Hope 2014 is a wonderful one for you, Sarah -- I'm sure it will be! :)

I love reading all about your life! I am especially enamored with the shopping posts since I am not a shopper at all! I am a sit in the dressing room and let whoever I'm with bring me stuff they think would look good on me type of person.
