I Had Such High Hopes....

For the past 3 years, I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of boots.

Needless to say, I've come up empty-handed every time.

This past week, 6pm.com, my kryptonite, had a few pairs go on special.

I purchased these because they looked cute on my computer.

Maybe I was just sleep deprived and weak-willed. Which, come to think of it... is most days of the week.
Also, what do you think of the AWESOME indoor-outdoor blue carpet in this pic? Snazzy, right?

Don't worry, I plan to make it my b*itch this afternoon by ripping it out. I think. If I don't feel like laying on the couch... which is actually very tempting.

Also, I've got a question for your DSLR types.

Do you all have remote-shutter-releases for your cameras?

Or is it just my raging blogging narcissism that necessitates I be in front of the camera as much as I'm behind it?

How can I take good outfit shots from behind the camera, you know?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

New Addition

Ladies, I'd like to introduce the newest addition to my life.

It's been a looooong time coming, for sure.

I've had some heartbreak along the way... but here she is!
(Well, just a small part of her.)

I'm off on some adventures for a long weekend.... and I promise many many many pictures when I return next week.

Camera Time (Kinda Like Hammer Time, But Not)

Ok kids, remember when I started my new job, way back in February?

(Gah, was it seriously only 2 months ago? I am so burnt out I assumed that at least 3 months had passed. Bam, I'm dead.)

So, as a recap, my goal in life (short term, hopefully. Otherwise that's a very short list.) was to purchase these 3 items on my wish list.

Computer? Check.

Ring? Submitted insurance claim. Waiting.... (I am so patient...)

Camera? Well... it's time!

Ok, here's the thing.

Canon Rebel XSi vs Nikon D3000.

From what I've read and researched... the Canon is the better camera.

However, the Nikon has super Nikon lenses and stuff.

The Canon is $575 (choke!) and the Nikon is $447 (choke again!).

We have a point and shoot Nikon that I HATE. It's blurry and grainy and I think it's the worst.

I had a Canon Elph as my first camera and LOVED it.

Of course, knowing my stupid brain, I just want the Canon cause it costs more. WTF is wrong with me?

And then part of my brain tells me to spend even more and jump up to the more advanced camera because I'll probably become a photographer and quit my job and won't I want a better camera then?

(Yep, a hobby. I need one. Besides obsessing over spending money. And we all know I like to spend money.)

Ok, fancy DSLR owners... what say you?

And non-fancy-DSLR owners.... hi, how's your week going? I can't believe it's hump day already... thank goodness. Anybody else want to crawl back into my bed and take a snooze?
