On Friday, I had one of the best days I've had in a long, long time. I got to meet (one) of my new nephews, Mister Ethan.
You see, Logan and Ethan hung out in the NICU for three weeks, being the wimpy white boys that they are (Mr. RH totally doesn't think that's a thing). Of course, at the same time the flu took off like crazy and even healthy adults with flu shots and whooping cough vaccines weren't allowed to visit.
When I visited Friday, Ethan was home but Logan was enjoying his last 24 hours of freedom from his sisters in the NICU.
Now, you see, Mr. RH is always giving me crap because I never relax. I never sit down and chill out. However, I would like to submit this photo as proof of the contrary - put a baby in my arms and I'll sit for as long as you'll let me hold him/her.
I'm equally torn between staring at how itty-bitty Ethan is and wondering dang-girl what happened to those roots?!
Ethan is apparently the smiley-guy of the two, which was fun but impossible to catch on film (yet).
It's funny - he snoozed the entire time I was holding him, except when I pulled out the camera. Above, he's totally giving me the side eye. I had promised him the picture-taking portion of the day was over. I lied, duh.
Boys will be boys, I guess.
Now... just have to figure out which of his three sisters taught him that little move. :)
