And the Whirlwind Begins...

Happy June!

I'm happy to report that the garage sale went off without a hitch this past weekend - despite pouring rain, a rogue tornado siren, and overall horrible weather.  Things were priced so low that our first four customers probably grabbed a fifth of everything that we were selling... and it only continued from there.

I'm happy to report that we unloaded all of my old college kitchen stuff, and I'm very excited that I've made lots of room for a bright new future with Mr. RH.  (I know, so cheesy.)

In my mind, June is basically go-time for wedding planning.  There are just over 100 days until The Big Day, and in my mind... yeah, it's coming.  I hope I'm ready.

It's a big week around these parts.  Someone is celebrating a big birthday on Friday (Mr. RH!), some of my family is coming to visit (and meet Mr. RH) next weekend.

It's also Mr. RH's last week training two hours away.... and I can't wait for it to be over.  I'm not sure if it's been more difficult for him or for me... but I'm ready to have him back so I can torture him 24/7 with wedding stuff.  (Poor guy.)

Mr. RH's mom friended me on facebook last night.  Do I need to delete my entire profile?  Leave everything as-is?

Literally, my blood went hot/cold when I saw it.  And I think my facebook is an incredibly clean and non-scandalous place to be!

I've been keeping up with my semi-pathetic "jogs" around the neighborhood, and in an attempt to be the Hottest Bride Ever (duh), I'm also trying to eat a wee bit healthier.  I'm trying not to "ban" anything - because I'm stink at that.

I'm gonna load up some of your suggestions to my iPod to prepare for tomorrow's jog... and try to stay alive for the next week.

Seems like an ambitious goal to me.

Anybody have any suggestions for recipes for my new not-unhealthy lifestyle?  SkinnyTaste?

Happy Monday!

Glad your garage sale was a success! I can't believe you're less than 100 days until the wedding - so exciting! And yes, skinny taste for healthy recipes. I've loved everything I've tried from that site.

Definitely recommend SkinnyTaste. Every recipe I've made from the site has been a winner, and I definitely have them to thank for helping me think creatively when it comes to meals and weight loss!

Whew, 100 days?! Holy cow! We just finished my sister's DIY wedding invitations last night (at 10 p.m., mind you), and I think they turned out fabulous -- but they were soooo time-consuming. Mine will be less involved, but still lots of work. Must get cracking.

Glad to hear the yard sale went well! I'll be participating in a community-wide one in mid-July, and my plan is to have lots of my stuff moved into my guy's by then... so I can see what I no longer want/need, and what we might still need to register for. High hopes indeed.

Also, I'm surprised Mr. RH's mom hasn't friended you before now! Not in a judgmental way, just... I think Spence's mom friended me immediately after we met. We'd been dating just a few months at that point, and I remember having a momentary "do I need to hide/delete anything?" freak-out before hitting accept. But she's pretty laid-back. If anything worried her, I'm none the wiser.

Anddddd this was a very long comment. Happy Monday, bride-to-be! :)

We just moved my fiance into my house and have an entire garage FULL of stuff. Half is for sure garage sale stuff and the rest is either stuff that belongs in the garage or things we are trying to figure out where to put. I'm SO happy to hear that your garage sale went great - it motivates me to have one too! Extra $$$ for the wedding would be sweet - and so would being able to park in the garage... :)
