A couple of weeks ago... I got into a real soupy mood. As in - nothing but soup in my belly, all the time! Of course, at $5 a bowl my Panera habit quickly drained my wallet.
And so I decided, naturally, that I could make soup just as well as they can. Obviously.
I borrowed from Joy the Baker's recipe and Taylor Takes a Taste's recipe.
I ate a whole loaf of crusty bread in two days with this bad boy... mmm. I'm thinking I'm going to need another batch asap.
Anybody else in a "soup" mood lately? I just can't shake it!

Yum -- love soup! Your tomato variety looks splendid. I've only tried making my own soup once, and it was a big fat failure . . . but perhaps this fall will be a chance to try again!
I, too, love Panera's soup, especially the broccoli-cheddar. My mom used to make the very best veggie-beef. My specialty is turkey-noodle.
I love soup! Unfortunately, it's hot as balls here still & I can't stomach it. Therefore, I need you to eat an extra bowl on my behalf ;)
