Sometimes, I wonder why I'm still blogging. More than 3 years after that lonely day in my ginormous dorm room, there is still something that brings me back to this blog (and twitter, and goodreads, and lord help me pinterest) - no matter how sick I get of it sometimes.
(Yes, I'm sure I'll figure out pinterest eventually.)
But the real reason I continue to write on this blog is not because I have nothing to say or something to say or I want to brag on myself or my cause.
The real reason I blog is because of every single person reading this post. Because real people, not just internet trolls, come here and read into a tiny piece of my heart.
And I feel eternally grateful that they let me into theirs.
One of the people deep in my heart is Megan from the fabulous blog In this Wonderful Life. I would guess I probably fell in love with her a few years ago (via her blog) because she is gorgeous and fabulous and has a cutie of a husband too.
Most of you reading this post know Cohen. Today is his first birthday and my heart is hurting because he isn't here to celebrate with his parents.

This is such a sweet post. Blogging develops such great friendships. I'm thinking of Megan and Brent today.
you are so sweet! I'm so glad YOU are blogging!
We think you are wonderful and an amazing girl :) The first thing Brent said when I showed him your post and the heart with your hands "that picture is really cool":)
I'm sure your mom is giving Cohen some birthday hugs & kisses :)
xoxo
Happy birthday to Cohen and his lovely parents.
Way to bring tears to my eyes. This is such a sweet post. You are one of my favorite bloggers (you are also one of my first readers, so thank YOU) <3
Happy birthday, little Cohen!
I, for one, am glad you are blogging...and I'm definitely thinking of that sweet family today. Can't even imagine...
You are one of the sweetest girls, like EVER.
I love the thought of your mom is watching over all the babies in heaven!
