Like I mentioned in my last post, my brother graduated from college on Friday. I was such a proud big sister.
I know it's so dumb... but I tend to think of my little brother in a certain way. Annoying as heck, littler than me, etc etc. But I think him graduating college as a big bad engineer kind of tarnished my own self image. He's clearly smarter than I am!
Along with some 700ish (guesstimate, obviously. I have no clue.) other students, my brother graduated on Friday night at 8 pm. (If you are thinking, um, who the heck has graduation at 8 pm on a Friday night... you are not alone.)
At the Sunday ceremony, the "Miracle on the Hudson" pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger spoke. Color me jealous, we got to listen to Purdue's president yap on. Bo-ring.
Fortunately the ceremony was only 2 hours long and then my brother proceeded to walk my dad and I across campus to sight-see (in the dark) back to his house. Which, FYI, was in the opposite direction of the car.
Two points to you if you think this chick was wearing brand-new heels and whined the whole time about bleeding and limping.
In my defense, it was well past my bedtime.
In other news, Purdue has a chunk of the moon on display so I was dying to see it for myself.
Yeah, I was expecting something a bit more impressive. That there moonrock is the size of my fingernail. Tiny!
So, to recap: my brother's a big boy, moon rocks can be tiny too, and oh yeah, Sarah is old. Both because her baby brother is old and because she can't stay up past 10 pm for graduations.
The End.

Y'all are one good looking family! My graduation was at 7 or 8 at night too. I was freakin' grumpy because even at that age, it was past my bedtime. Haha!
Hooray for your brother graduating! However, I totally understand your viewpoint of his engineering degree. My husband is an engineer and, while I am incredibly proud of him and all of his accomplishments, it makes me feel ashamed by comparison. Fortunately, his graduation was only the school of engineering and I believe there were only around 200 graduating that night.
Hooray! That is a great picture of you all!!
A big congrats again to your brother -- that's awesome, and definitely an accomplishment!
My graduation from the University of Maryland (go Terps!) was at 8 p.m. on a Sunday night and lasted until 11:30 p.m. (true story)... we didn't get home until almost 1 a.m. Good times.
That sure is a cute a family! Hmm, the moon rock isn't so spectacular--I must agree!
you're such a sweet big sister! what a great pic, and you look so pretty!
You look fantastic! Ty's graduation was at 7 on Friday and I thought that was bad. It is hard to do anything before or after, but 8 pm is worse. :)
I had that Friday night massive graduation at Purdue too... and who wants to graduate on a Friday night? Yuck!
All of your pics are great and you look fantastic. Congrats to your brother!
