First of all, a big huge thank you to everyone who said such kind things on my last post about my grandma. I think we can all agree that it completely sucks to feel powerless.
But, as they say, onward and upward.
Ok, today I have some very serious questions for you all. Cause I know you love to chat.
First up, what are your favorite beauty products? I am having a crisis of self and want to change up my routine. So, you're stranded on a desert island. What *must* you bring, besides your husband/cat/baby/iPhone? Besides Chapstick, I know I'd never be stranded without my chapstick.
That, my friends, is a fate worse than death.
On another note, because I know so many fancy photographers read my blog... I need a tripod capable of handling my SLR camera and heavy lens. My old one is buckling under the pressure, which would be very bad.
So: makeup, tripods. You're lucky you stopped by today, this place is RIVETING right now.
In other news, you should read about my favorite go-to shoes for summer. I'm obsessed.
If you need me, I'll be in the kitchen. Making lemon bars out of lemons.
Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! Ya, sometimes life just stinks. But sometimes life is awesome. And it's always beautiful, even when we don't realize it. Chin up, girly. :)
My absolute musts are mascara & concealer! My favorite mascara right now is Buxom by Bare Escentials; my favorite concealer is Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage stick.
My Revlon Grow Lucious mascara. It is the one with the green bottle and silver writing. I don't know how I lived this long without it! The brush is GIANT and it thickens and spreads your eyelashes out perfectly!
i love skincare products by mario badescu. their signature product is this drying lotion for pimples, but i've never tried them. i personally use their botanical facial gel, cucumber cleansing lotion & aha & ceramide moisturizer.
makeup wise, i just found this super stay 24 hour lip color from maybelline. it doesn't stay put for 24 hours, but at least for 8. plus, i find it to be less drying than most of the long wearing lipsticks.
Kemon bars. NOM. My can't live without product is C.O. Bigelow's Rose Salve. You can use it on lips, face, elbows, anything!
My favorite beauty products... clinique pressed powder (shiny face!) and tweezers. Must have those. Lemon bars sound so wonderful... take pictures!
You are talking my language! Photography & makeup. :))
So I have my everyday face video with everything listed, but my absolute must-haves would be...
1. Mascara - Loreal telescopic carbon black
2. Eyeliner - Stila waterproof liquid pen
3. Shimmery cream eyeshadow - Benefit's RSVP
4. Blush - Hard Candy Living Doll
5. Lipgloss - Any of the NYX mega shine lipglosses
Lol...ok this is more of a list for a cruise than a desert island, but you did ask. ;)
Love the metallic wedges! If anyone has them and wants to confirm comfort, I'd appreciate it :)
Happy Monday, well Tuesday now. Cute blog.
If I were stranded on a desert island, I'd need a generator to power my double-barrel curling iron, as well as my humidity hair spray and spray curl gel. Need those beach waves!
Otherwise, I'd just need my Burts Bees lip balm and Clinique face wash bar.
We bought my MIL the Dynex 60" tripod from Best Buy for her DSLR. I think the one I have is Sunpak and I love it.
