Whirlwind Fun Weekend

Sometimes (most of the time), my weekends are more stressful than my weeks.  Since I usually work on the weekends, I usually end up working AND fitting in social time with my nearest and dearest on the weekends.

Which leads to the zombie-face I sport on most Monday mornings.

Last night, I attended a bridal shower for one of the girls who used to work at my store.  The night was SO fun and hilarious and of COURSE I ended up staying late chatting.

I'm not gonna lie, the hostess (one of my coworkers) absolutely outdid herself with the details, in my opinion.  It was a smaller shower, but she did an AMAZING job considering she worked most of the weekend with me.

I really wish I had begged her to take one of the centerpieces home... it was just so cute, way cuter than this picture even shows.

The champagne cupcakes were amazing, but I should have snapped a pic of each of the different flavors - the other ones had cute little bras/panties on them.  Edible, to boot.  Cute cute!

The hostess made up a cute honeymoon survival kit with all the essentials inside...

And one of the girls found this adorable reusable tote at Target.  How fitting!

But, I'd have to say, my absolute favorite thing was a robe made by the hostess/maid of honor.  I know the bride will absolutely wear this when she's getting ready on the big day and probably on the honeymoon too!

And here's the kicker on the robe... so you see, lots of stores (like Victoria's Secret, etc) sell cute "bride" robes in stores.... but they're minimum $60.

That robe?  Probably $20 total, and probably better quality.  She grabbed a nice robe from some store (can't remember which one) and just bought the jewels at Hobby Lobby.  Ten minutes and a hot iron later, she had The Best Gift of the shower, in my opinion.

Anyways, I just had to photo dump from that gorgeous shower last night... it was too cute not to share!

Have a fabulous Monday!

LOVE the iron on letters! I have made 2 Bride sweatshirts for friends and am currently working on making them for my bridesmaids. $10 sweatshirts and $3 iron ons is my kind of deal.

love that robe too, I'll have to keep that in mind for any future bridal shower I may attend.

Okay - I'm stealing the robe idea. Joel's brother is getting married and I had no idea what to get his fiance for her bachelorette party! THANK YOU!!
