Mount Everest. Of Clothes.

There's a bedroom next to mine that has a bed in it. Nobody has ever slept in the bed. In fact, the bed is only in the room so we don't have to bump up to the next-size-up storage unit that holds some of my furniture and a bunch of my baby and college mementos.

Back to the bed.

Nobody sleeps in it, yet it is always full. Full of my dirty clean little secrets.

I dry about 5% of my clothes in the dryer - the rest dry on dryer racks in this extra bedroom.

But sometimes I do laundry day after day and don't have time to empty the racks.

I usually pile it neatly on the extra bed until I have time to fold the clothes and put them away.

Or not.

Most of that pile has been there since at least Christmas. I had kind-of forgotten that surface was actually a bed.

So lest you think that I am a person who enjoys actually doing laundry and putting it away... I am not.

Most of that stuff is sweatpants and t-shirts that don't have to look presentable.

But I have 4 days until I think I'm going to have a visitor occupying that bed.

Guess I've got some folding to do.

And lest you think I am a highly motivated person who will just whip those clothes away.... I've been trying to minimize the pile for a week now. It's not working.

I don't mind doing laundry, but putting it away is a nightmare!! I so feel your pain. Good luck!

We are the SAME person. My guest room is basically a mountain of clothes.

Folding clothes is right up there with cleaning the toilet for me. HATE. IT.
My stuff is hung up in my extra bedrooms, too. I like to think of them as two extra giant closets!! : )

Danielle, I would MUCH rather clean toilets than deal with this mess. My toilets, not anybody else's though. That's disgusting.

Girlllllll....I am right. there. with. you. I have the exact same room...and once, when we had company and needed the bed, I bagged up all of my clothes on it in yard trash bags rather than organize it. True story. hahahah

I feel your pain! I'm notorious for leaving things in the dryer and then just downy wrinkle releasing the heck out of them!! :)

I'm not friend with doing laundry either, but as I share a flat someone else, it kind of motivates me to do it anyway.
(But just so you know, you're not alone in this world ;))x
