The title of this post says it all.
First of all... I'm dumb for driving all away across town (ok, like 7 miles away) to Meijer when there is a Kroger probably 3 miles away.
And of course half of the lanes are restricted on the way there due to construction. Duh.
And then there's the guy who loves me in the frozen foods department. All smiles and jokes and hitting on me and I'm rushing and trying to grab the damn frozen corn and move the heck on.
Today, I'm pretty sure he said "It's looking like spring out there, isn't it? I'm ready!"
And cause I'm a b*tch I just say "Yep" and move the heck on.
And then of course the checkout lady is crazy. I had 3 large reusable bags but don't worry - she bagged a lot of stuff in plastic before sticking it in the reusable tote. And not just the meat. Fruit and random stuff.
And then there's the mentally handicapped man that I cannot escape no matter what time of day or day of the week I shop at this Meijer. He sees me coming and offers to help me to my car. I say "no thank you" and it doesn't matter, he follows me anyways.
He then tries to chat me up all the way to my car as I dump my entire cart into my trunk as quickly as possible. The first time this happened I thought he was going to try to rob/attack me cause he was so close to me and my car. I need my personal space!!
I appreciate that Meijer gives jobs to people who might not otherwise be able to get one, I do. Please don't take it the wrong way. But in this case... AHH.
And this is why... at 8 am, I am completely zapped. No ounce of anything left in me.
Thank goodness it's my day off - I am in serious need of couch time.
Of course, I am going into work to get a performance review, make a fun bulletin board, do a quick Target & TJ Maxx trip... oh wait, what happened to all my couch time?!
Aren't days off fun??

I absolutely hate the grocery store too!! I hope you get some relaxing in today!
i'm with you! i need a personal assistant just for the purpose of grocery shopping for me.
speaking of...i have to go today. i torture myself by going to the super wal-mart (only b/c it's cheaper).
I hate it as well. But, I cook so much I'm always there. I would SO pay good money to have groceries delivered. Too bad we don't have that in our area.
I actually don't mind our grocery store -- EXCEPT there is a little 15 y/o who hits on me all. the. time. Really dude, I'm 25! I try to avoid him if I'm there alone or cling to the husband if he's with me so this kid doesn't talk to me. I'm sure he's nice and I'm polite to him but really kid, you're starting to creep me out =/
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to grocery shop. I don't know why. I'll come do yours for you.
I know what you mean, it can be such a *process.* Perhaps that's why my refrigerator is so empty that it currently looks like it's for sale... :)
Aww how does that guy look like? does he seem nice or he's creepy so you ignore him?
I love to grocery shop but I tend to avoid really huge stores because more people = more possibilites of craziness.
I have to DRAG myself to the grocery store every week. It's so bad. And I always end up going hungry which is even worse. HA!
