Talking About Food. My Favorite Subject.

Today, we talk food. I suggest skipping this if you don't want to be starving. Cause I just ate and now I'm starving.

Blogger Michelle said...What is your favorite meal of the day - breakfast, lunch or dinner? And, what would you eat for that favorite meal of the day?

Breakfast for SURE! I love homemade waffles - not Belgian waffles, can't stand those.

And you can't rule out how much I love French toast and pancakes. And bacon. Who doesn't love bacon??

Blogger Tiffany and the Munchkins said... I'll go with an easy one...what is your favorite cupcake (and icing) flavor? Mine is red velvet and I prefer NO icing but if I had to choose it would be cream cheese icing.Delete
First off, you don't like frosting? I don't know if I can even know you anymore.

I dislike frosting from the grocery store... that overly-sugary, gets hard/crunchy on the outside. GAG!

I love love a cream cheese frosting and I really love a whipped frosting... although I'm gonna be honest - I'm not a fan of frosting out of a can. But I wouldn't turn it down, either.

I love red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and I also love vanilla with vanilla. I shall test my cupcake love next week in Nashville where I will attempt to come up with some more favorites. I promise I'll share!

Blogger a H.I.T. said... How did you learn to make such yummy desserts?
I love them, I crave them... and if I ever try a dessert I like from a friend I immediately set about begging for the recipes. I actually have a ton of recipes that I haven't shared on here that are seriously amazing... perhaps I should share some of those coming up??

I make a "Better than Sex" cake that is seriously... amazing.

And - I bake all the time. I love the smell of a baked good and let's be real - I love to eat.

Blogger coolkids said... What is your favorite place to go out to eat?
This is tough! Want the honest if not very cool answer?

I love the salad at Olive Garden. I seriously crave that dressing.

Also... I don't eat out very often. Definitely less than once a week, maybe even more like less than once a month. My friends always say this is one of the reasons I'm able to say thin - cause I know what's going into my food if I make it at home.
Blogger Naturally Caffeinated Family said...How about, what is your favorite thing to cook? and I'd love to hear what you do for your job too. :)
My favorite thing to cook? I'm not a huge cook. I'd rather bake cookies.

If I had to pick I'd say I make fajitas with Mexican rice as my signature dish. It's super easy and it's always a hit.

Sara Lang said...what is your favorite type of cupcakes?
Vanilla with vanilla frosting. Not the sugary frosting though - the creamy kind.

newteacherwife said...what would your last meal be, including all the sides and such?
Gosh, this is tough! Probably a big steak, some couscous... followed by cheesecake and ice cream and cake and every other dessert I can't think of right now. I'm more of a dessert girl.

Sweet Simplicity said... You certainly know how to eat. haha. How do you stay so stinkin skinny?
First of all, this question cracked me the hell up. I feel like you know me so well.

I'm definitely not as thin as I used to be... but I'm working on it.

I usually give into my cravings. A bite of this, a little of that. The more I obsess in my mind the more I know I'm going to gorge later. Sarah = no self control.

But, as I said earlier, I rarely eat out. I cook my own meals so I know what's in them and can make substitutions when possible. I also try and drink before a meal so I start off feeling fuller than I really am.

And when I want to give into boredom snacking (which happens to me ALL THE TIME!) I try and distract myself with a project. Which is why I have so many half-finished craft projects in my life!
Blogger THE Stephanie said... What do I want to know? How about your address, so I can send you cupcakes! :)
Don't tempt me!

Blogger Aly said...If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?
Cake. Probably cheesecake. Plain with no crust.

Daisy said...So my question is: what is your number one favorite thing to bake?
Cookies or cupcakes. It's a toss up. My cupcakes are usually just made with a box mix though - I'm not that spectacular of a baker!
Blogger Jenn said...Ok - we all know you loooove cupcakes, but what's your favorite flavor? I'm always torn between two, white cake & white buttercream icing or red velvet. But then there carrot cake, chocolate mint, dreamsiscle...shit, I'm sounding like someone who eats a lot of cupcakes, aren't I??
Oh man - after talking about red velvet and vanilla cupcakes in the earlier questions... I completely forgot about carrot cake. I LOVE carrot cake. Damn.

Vanilla on vanilla. Red Velvet. Carrot cake. Definitely my top 3.

Wanna hang out and eat cupcakes?

Ok, now that I've gone and pissed everyone off talking about food... we're done for the day.

Have a fabulous Friday!!!

I love breakfast. I love waffles. My husband didn't want to put a waffle maker on our wedding registry. My bridesmaids bought me one anyways. I use it all the time! The best mix is Bruce's Sweet Potato pancake and waffle mix. We order it by the case!
