Share and Share Alike

(First off, for the record, I would just like to state that I have tons of really awesome posts banging around in my head. And the pictures that accompany those posts are on my laptop, which is as dead as a doornail. Apologies for the pictureless lame-ness. Maybe I'll get a new computer someday. It must be done.)

Well, you all know I can't resist telling you about shopping. It's a compulsion really - and yesterday's find is no different.

So I'm sure that the Editor Pants from Express are nothing new to most of you. I wore them all through high school like it was my job. And then I decided they weren't cool anymore and donated them all to Goodwill.

Fast forward to yesterday and I was trying to find a comfy pair of black pants. The thing I remembered most about the Editor pants is the fact that they were a little thin, requiring a serious thong.

Yesterday I explained to the Express associate that because of my long torso the Editors sometimes left me with a midriff moment a la Britney Spears.

And she's all - "well obviously you should have the wide waistband Editors."

And then I heard the heavenly hosts sing.

(Obviously the pic below is me in my Editors. I think I've lost 10 lbs from each thigh!)

Furthermore - and I didn't really realize this either - the Editors come in 2 types of fabric.

The first type is often on sale (buy one, get one half off) and is quite thin.

And the second type - the Studio Stretch version - is nice and thick. Thick enough that I can wear comfy underwear and not look like a grandma with VPL. And isn't usually on sale.

BUT you can use a coupon on it, and there's always coupons floating around if you look for them.

Can you say shopping WIN?!

Now if I could only find some longer tops... then I'd seriously be in business.

Have you had any shopping revelations lately? I'd love to hear them!

Happy Wednesday!

Every single one of my 15 pairs of black pants(I can never have too many!) are Editors. This might be solely due to the fact their 'short' inseam is perfect for a midget like myself. And this weekend I also discovered the wide waistband ones - a new addition to my closet! I love. Congrats on the new pants - it always feel nice to add a new piece to your wardrobe :)

Omg, if you find the longer tops, PLEASE POST about them!! I have a super long torso as well, and super long legs, and it stinks to try to find clothes!!! Thanks so much for sharing! :)

In college I swore by Editors too but they switched from 100% wool to some synthetic material and I wasn't on board anymore. Now I swear by BR Jackson or Martin fit pants. Pricer but SO worth it!

I swear by the Editor pants too! I have the wide waistband pants in white/black, love, love, love!

As for long tees, try Target!

I'm an editor fan but the thicker fabric bunches funny at the crotch/zipper area on me. Boo.

I love the editors! I wear a pair almost every day. I haven't bought a new pair in a long time and had no idea they came in a thicker fabric. I could definitely use a pair to get me through this cold weather.

I haven't ever been able to fit well in limited pants, but I'll probably try again now.

I love the Editors and I am also a big fan of the Publicist pant. I've been wearing Express dress pants since I was 16. I just love that I know my size, style, and that they come in so many fabrics. Makes shopping easy!

I'm wearing editor pants as we speak! They are so comfy. I used to work at Express, and I think I did more shopping than working. Since Express is no longer a part of Limited Brands, have you noticed a change in the quality? I purchased a few sweaters a couple of months ago and one of them literally fell apart; before I even had the chance to wear it.

Yes! I have found a new love! The Marisa pants at AnnTaylor Loft. Love, love, love these pants. They have a wide waist band. Because I'm a teacher with a long torso, I have to have wide waist bands to make sure nothing shows. I bought two pairs I loved them so much. Next paycheck? Two more. Seriously. One for everyday of the week (except Fridays--jeans day!)

Oh my - those pants are divine! And I was even more excited when I saw that your first commenter said that they come in a short inseam.

Woo hoo!

I 5'9" and have a long torso. I can always find longer tanks but not as many long-tailed shirts, so I do a lot of layering.

Of course, at my new job I wear scrubs that make me look like a cow. I really need to get ones that are more fitted, but not until I lose a little more weight. I don't need some grandma asking when my baby is due.
