Argh

Well well well, it's Monday.

So anyways, I had all these ideas for a cute post that I was going to write about when I got home from a meeting that was supposed to get out at 9 PM last night. I didn't leave until 10:20.

When I turned onto my street, I could tell something was off - and then I realized the electricity was out.

I have twittered in the past that my power was out and everybody is always like "where the heck do you live? The 1700s?" And the answer is basically yes.

So last night the power guy comes and it's just 5 houses that are without power, mine being one of them. On Friday, the transformer for these 5 houses "blew" in a spectacular boom in the middle of the day, which left me in the dark for about 4 hours.

It blew again last night when I was at my meeting... but I figured they'd hit reset and the power would come back on.

I watched out my front window from 10:30 to midnight and the guy clearly wasn't having any luck. He kept walking back to his truck, looking at the transformer, and walking back to the big pole. Yeah, effective.

So he leaves at midnight.

An hour and a half later, he's back. With about 6 other trucks and a basket lift thing. I'm in bed by this point, but I keep getting up to see what the heck is going on. They fiddled around for at least an hour and then the power comes on - THANK GOD!

So I can finally turn on my fan and go to sleep - at 2 or 3 in the morning. Praise the Lord.

Of course I didn't sleep any later than I normally do, so now I'm grumpy.

Plus, my wireless internet got fried and so my laptop is basically useless.

My life has a case of the Mondays.

In other news, you should go read about my adventures with dry shampoo at Chic Critique. Because goodness knows I hate washing and blowdrying my hair.

I am sorry you are having such a hard time with your power!! The house where I grew up we always had the transformer blow...my mom ended up getting a generator that would kick on when we lost power!

Ugh! The power in my apt complex has been going in and out SO much lately, you can never rely on it. I'm terrified I'm going to short my brand new laptop!

It really sucks to have no power... I HATE that. My biggest concern is so bad... No TV and the kids go NUTS!

I hate Mondays! I hope you don't have any more power problems--how frustrating. Your blog layout is pretty clean and simple. I like what you have! I wish I was talented enough to start my own business!

Boy, girlie... you really did have some struggles with the power. I hope you get to sleep early tonight and tomorrow is a better day!

OMG! Isn't it crazy how much we need electricity but take it for granted? Glad yours is back on! XO

Last week, we exerienced black out like 4 times a week, a couple of hours at a time. No kidding. So ifeel you, I was so pissed too. There was some damages or something and the electrical company is trying to fix it but to do so apparently they had to make scheduled black outs in Jakarta. Majorly annoying.

Thelast time we lost our power was the night before I was going to Rhodes on holiday - and I had left packing to the last minute. It was so frustrating - and just a good thing we weren't leaving first thing in the morning!

UGH, I hope your Tuesday has been better than your Monday. I hate it when the power goes out as I'm a big baby and must sleep with the tv on!

At my 1st apt, the power went out in December quite a few times. It always ended up being right after getting out of the shower before going to work. With soaking wet hair. Good thing it was a crappy job.
