Today, I was supposed to write a sappy post. But sappy turned in to depressing woe-is-me talk... so I'll save that for another day.
-------------------------------------------------
I have mentioned here before that I was doing the Shred.
I ordered the DVD in freaking January but didn't get on the bandwagon until June. And then The Boy broke up with me and I tried to keep it going... but I was done with it. Too many memories of doing it together.
So I finally did it this time. I finished a whole 30 days - if not 34 days. I took a few days off for a wedding and then I got sick... but I was bound and determined to finish. And I did.
So now, we talk results.
I took before and after pictures but I honestly can't see a difference. Unfortunately, I have not developed a 6-pack. Oh well.
Over my whole body, I've lost about a centimeter, or just under half an inch.
I lost that much on each calf, each thigh.... so yay. I was definitely hoping for a little bit more... but whatever.
I lost about 1.2 inches on my stomach, which is exciting.
I lost an inch on my boobs, so now all my bras are too loose. Freakin awesome, I tell you. Not.
I lost 4 pounds, which I am actually thrilled about. In my entire life, I'm not sure I've ever been able to lose 4 pounds, so that's great. Plus, I can definitely tell I've gained muscle so I'm sure that one of the reasons that number stayed so small.
So, in conclusion, I think I needed to watch what I was eating a wee bit more to see better Shred results.
And also, God doesn't like women because he always makes their boobs shrink first. Geesh. Men.
Up next: No More Trouble Zones.
Hold me, I'm scared. And also, I'm taking a break today.... because I can.
Happy Thursday!!

Ooh ... I want to do this, but I'm scared. We'll see.
Congratulations on your results! 4 pounds A LOT in a month... especially when you are as tiny as you are!! Make sure you celebrate your results, thats the fun part of all your hard work!
Congrats on finishing! I'm very impressed--I think I lasted about a week on the darn thing.
And thanks so much for your comment the other day. I really appreciated it so much.
This is awesome. You have inspired me to take the plunge. All I want is to lose anywhere from 5-8 lbs. That's it. Thanks alot for posting this and responding to my tweets yesterday=)
I did The Shred for awhile and then quit, I will probably start it back up soon!
Congrats on your great results!! I know you have increased your strength and endurance big time, which is harder to measure. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to hear a review of No More Trouble Zones!
Wow, congrats! I've been thinking about trying the shred for a while now...maybe I will follow your lead!
So yeah, with the boobs thing. NOT COOL. I lost about 12 pounds earlier this year (gained it all back, but, whatever) and I swear, they were the first thing to go--and not big AT ALL to begin with. Sure.
I'm on Day 3 of 30DS and I'm hurting all over, but I am determined to complete it, and hopefully stick with it after! Good luck with the next video, keep us updated!
I think I'm going to pick up the shred and start doing it in addition to my kickboxing classes. I might not walk again but I'm going to be skinny again one day. LOL!!! You did great and YAY for 4 pounds!!! XOXO
So proud of you for finishing the Shred! I tried...and failed. But hey...I hated it...so there. :)
I'm wishing you lots of luck with your next video!
And I know what you mean about the boobs. They were the first to go when I lost a lot of weight...which was so, so sad.
great job on finishing the shred!! i've tried and failed a few times. although i do have to say when i stick with it on level 2 i see results. i might cry if i lost the girls ;)
looking forward to hearing how you like no more trouble zones!
Way to stick with it. That is impressive! And 4 lbs is something to brag about!
Great job finishing the 30 days! I don't think I could keep it up for that long.
Great results!! I had extremely high expectations of myself this morning - decided to start The Shred AFTER doing 30 minutes of pilates/yoga. I got about 5 minutes into the Shred and nearly died. Guess I'll have to start tomorrow! :)
Yep...yep...and more YEP. The tattas go first :( Thank goodness we can pay for them :)-
Congrats with sticking with it. I did it off and on this summer but I really need to pick a time when I can do all 30 days in a row!
I'm proud of you for doing it for that long. I tried and couldn't do it. I got frustrated when the pounds didn't come off, and I wasn't seeing results after 2 weeks.
you finished? oh wow what a superhero!")
I'm currently trying to get up the motivation to Shred. Still sore from yesterday. Ah ha
What do you think of the trouble spots? I bought it a few weeks ago and am starting tomorrow, yes I am a slacker! And hello- I commented on another post, love your blog, I'm Molly.
