Yes, today was supposed to be a fashion post, thanks for asking. Fortunately and unfortunately, I finally went to the doctor yesterday after being sick for 2 weeks. Turns out I have such a bad sinus infection that all the pressure in my head was building up in my ears to the extent that I was starting to have (temporary) trouble hearing.
So I got me some antibiotic horse pills and should start to feel better in a couple days. Whew.
Back in the good old days (about a year ago), I used to have a "Quote of the Week" every week.
You see, I LOVE quotes. I have a word document 47 pages long that is filled with quotes - from books, from famous people, from not-that-famous people, from movies, and from Starbucks cups.
Either way, I love me some beautiful words. Even if I don't have that many myself.
So the quote of the week for this week comes from Along Came Polly. Didn't much love the movie, but I do love this quote.
"Let go. Move on for your life. It's not about what happened in the past or what you think might happen in the future - it's about the ride for chrissakes. There's no point in going through all this crap if you are not going to enjoy the ride. And you know what? When you least expect it, something great might come along. Something better than you even planned for."
Do you like quotes? Do you have a favorite? I'd love to hear it.
And I make no promises about a fashion post tomorrow. It seems like that kinda week.

My all time favorite quote is from the finale of Dawson's Creek:
"Dreams aren't perfect. They come true, not free."
I think it's so true, and always important to remember.
oh i love that one! nothing like a little hope to make your day better! :) yes ive copied quotes from starbucks quotes etc to make my own collection as well !
Yuck on the sinuses...that sucks! I love quotes, but I am not a big collector of them.
Hope you get better soon! I hate sinus infections. Yucky!!!
That quote was/still is on my FB. I love it=)
I have horribly outrageous sinuses, so I feel (and understand) your pain! I hope the horse antibiotics help quickly. I also keep a journal full of quotes; it's a wonderful habit, and always fun to hear that others do it, too.
Favorite quote (at the moment):
"...But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous." From Sex and the City
love the movie, love the quote. actually makes my day quite a bit better. :)
Great quote! My favorite is...
"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
I found this great quote on Kuperblog today and loved it- you might enjoy: http://www.kuperblog.com/
Feel Better!
oh my gosh! i hope you're starting to feel a little better! sinus infections are the WORST! thats so funny that you said you read the quotes on starbucks cups, i did too! Before they stopped doing that... UGH!
I saw a quote the other day that you will appreciate...
"Women don't play football because eleven women should never wear the same outfit in public."
YUCK! I hope you feel better ASAP! One of my favorite movie quotes is..."All I want for Christmas is you." from Love Actually. Even though I have a Christmas wish list, the only thing I really need is the hubs and our little man. He'll forever be the best present I've ever received!
Decided to de-lurk to leave my favorite quote...I used it in my wedding programs when I got married last November. It just rings true and can put a lot into perspective:
"Unless it is mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it’s a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life—love should not be one of them."
-Jen
Hope you are feeling better!
I have tons of favorite quotes- but many of the ones I have put in a word document and saved are (pathetically-haha) from Meredith Grey;
MEREDITH: [narrating] "At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out, they fence you in. Life is messy, that's how we're made. So you can waste your life drawing lines or you can live your life crossing them. But there are some lines that are way too dangerous to cross. Here's what I know. If you're willing to throw caution to the wind and take a chance, the view from the other side... is spectacular."
Ohh I love quotes too!!
Two of my current faves are:
"For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
"Life is tough. I suggest a manicure and a really cute helmet!"
OMG....are we twins? Have you seen THIS post? http://classyinphilly.blogspot.com/2009/01/life-offers-you-thousand-chances.html
