Wonderful Wedding Weekend

Wow, it has been an absolute whirlwind since I posted last. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding that was more of a celebration of the love and happiness that exists between a couple. It was truly the most joyful wedding I've ever been to.

I started crying during the bride's entrance and I was crying on and off throughout the whole night.

The bride and I share a birthday and a bunch of weird coincidences. During the prayer intentions, the couple had everyone pray for those who were missed - including my mom. Not gonna lie, I pretty much lost it at that point.

But besides that, every single second was just beautiful. It was such a celebration of love.

After the wedding, my friends and I who were not bridesmaids helped move decorations from the wedding to the reception. The car was a tad too small but we made it work. We don't look like professionals, do we?

The reception, from the get-go, was one big party. The grand entrance completely set the tone for the big party that followed.

I was so busy that I didn't get too many pictures of the reception - but everything was just beautiful.

The bride and groom danced to the song "Dancing in the Moonlight," which was just perfect.

The bride and her dad danced to "I Loved Her First"... and there wasn't a dry eye in the house!

I barely got one picture of my former roomies from last year. M was in the wedding party so it was tough to get all of us together!

I was so thrilled to see my beautiful friend get married... it's no wonder we look like we're crying in most of our pictures together!

And she let me fulfill my fantasy of dress fluffing. Maybe I should become a professional bridesmaid?

I have a million more pictures of dancing and dancing and drinking... but those aren't that exciting. Suffice it to say it was a big, big celebration.

This is one of my favorite shots of the night - the bride and her friends lining up at the bar!

The end of the night was quite hard. You see, this wedding was the first big reunion since graduation. We had been looking forward to it since last year when this couple got engaged.

At the end of the night, we all, including the bride, realized that this might be the last time we see each other for a while. The next time we will all be together will be a year from now at the next wedding. There were many, many tears.

And now for the important stuff... my outfit.

I had bought this dress last week and thought I was going to wear it - even though I wasn't in love. But on Friday I found this purple dress on clearance at H&M for $20. I added a belt, headband, and cute wrap to make the outfit.

And I had fabulous, big hair. Which I didn't get a picture of... but loved.

589 photos. 70 of which are of shoes/backs of heads/ceilings/etc. I take a million photos, and yet I don't think I can ever capture how magical and beautiful the wedding really was.

I guess that's what the memories are for, right?

Happy Monday!
