Sunshine Cleaning

Last night, my dad and I watched Sunshine Cleaning.
Have you heard of it?

We had seen a preview for it months ago and it looked hilarious. I believe it had the same director as Little Miss Sunshine, which is pretty much hilarious.

So how was it??

Um, not hilarious. In fact, the movie is actually a drama centered around 2 sisters who open a crime scene cleanup business.

The movie was awkward at times, but it felt very cathartic to me. It was a sweet story and I loved the main characters - they were flawed and fabulous.

If you rent this DVD, make sure you watch the bonus feature of the women who the story is loosely based on... not gonna lie, they made me cry.

Wow, I guess this post is actually as lame as yesterday's post... sorry about that.

Why don't you tell me if you've seen any good movies lately... or what your favorite movie ever is? Especially if it's unique or if I probably haven't seen it... my netflix needs your recommendations!

Have a Happy Thursday!

Believe it or not, my husband and I watched the new Fast and Furious movie and it was actually pretty good. I really had low expectations but I like the storyline... and was impressed it HAD a storyline. Definitely not a change your life kind of movie, but I don't regret giving it two hours of my time.

Oh, I loved Sunshine Cleaning!

I saw Up! last night and it was too cute, and I also loved Julie and Julia--though neither of those are out on Netflix yet.

There's a German film that I love, called "Mostly Martha" that is sooo sweet.

If you haven't seen Slumdog Millionare it's WONDERFUL.

I also saw "Crush" recently (with Andy McDowell). Great rom-com ... though it's sad, I have to warn you.

Anyways, shutting up now. Boy, don't get me started on movies!

I seriously have a weird recommendation... but that's okay, because I'm a little weird :o)

I LOVED the Notorious movie!!! I rented it for the boyf and I thought it was one of those movies that I would fall asleep during the first 3 minutes... I didn't! I stay up and watched the whole thing :) However, I love me some rap music sooo that may be what appealed to me so much!

Also... my favorite movie ever, well I don't have just one. But I watch the Sex and The City movie ATLEAST once a month... 27 dresses... Maid of Honor (with Patrick Dempsey, yum!)... all my favs :o)

Oh and favorite funny and awkward flick- HOT ROD. You have to see it. Just once. I almost peed my pants the first time, seriously. SO FUNNY!

Oh, Little Miss Sunshine was sooo funny! I'm not a girly girl by any means so my favorite movies include things like Gone In 60 Seconds and Fight Club. When I'm feeling a lil nostalgic for high school days, I'll pull out Can't Hardly Wait. We rented Sex Drive last weekend and I about died laughing.

Chevck out HBO's "East Bound and Down" which is produced (and occasionally stars) Will Ferrell.

Think Will on SNL jacked up on vodka, and cheap marajuana and you've got a show that will make you both blissfully uncomfortable and feel like you need to pee. NOW.

The nail polish isn't shimmery. I'm not a big fan of shimmery/metallic nail polish.

I just watched "Role Models" and it was hilarious (if you love stupid humor). Also rented "Bride Wars" and could barely sit through it. Wouldn't recommend, even for a girly movie night. My fav movie of all time is "You've Got Mail"!
