A Crafting Fool

While I am on vacation, I thought I'd show you how I went craft-crazy before my vacation. You see, I am planning on covering the walls of my lovely new apartment in a very short period of time, and I must be prepared. This is my story.

Step 1: Find some fabric you like. Doesn't have to be fancy, but a pattern is good. I love black and white, so therefore I love this one. Step 2: Find some canvases at your local craft store (actually, some Wal-Marts carry them as well. Not my favorite store, but whatever). Step 3: Cut the fabric with a generous hangover to fit your canvas. I just eyeballed it. Step 4: Find an appropriate place to use spray adhesive. Or just throw a trash bag on the back deck and call it a day. Done.
Step 5: Shake the spray adhesive like a polariod picture. Step 6: Spray on the adhesive to the canvas. You could do the fabric as well. Step 7: Attach the fabric and the canvas. Be sure to rub the wrinkles out of the fabric if you forget to iron it. Oops. Step 8: Use a staple gun to attach the ends of the fabric to the back of the frame. (Ok, I was proud of this step - so so proud). Yours should be as beautiful as mine, but if it isn't don't get down on yourself, ok? We can always try again. Voila! Instant wall art! AND it was cheap too - I think less than $13 for the canvases, fabric, and spray adhesive!!

Hope everyone's having an awesome week!

love,
