Love/Hate

First of all, a big HUGE thank you to everybody who's commented on my blog's third birthday post. As of right now there are 69 comments to enter to win a $50 Target gift card. So if you haven't commented on that post yet what the heck are you waiting for? Go.

I feel like there are SO MANY new faces in my inbox from that post so bear with me as I try to sort through and reply to each of you. Also, I love how much we all have in common although we are clearly all verry different. It makes me happy.

---------------------------

Moving on... because I am too exhausted to show you all the new clothes I've purchased (soon, I promise!), I'm gonna get a little love/hate list going today. I'm all about the extremes.

LOVE
Red velvet cheesecake. I literally dream about this day and night.

The fact that these HIDEOUS lights are no longer hanging in my kitchen. I ripped them out with my bare hands. (Or, with my dad's help. Whatever.)

The video for Sara Bareilles' song Uncharted. It won't play on mobile devices for some reason (weird) but if you are by a computer - watch it. It's hilarious. Thank you to Casey for shouting out the video on twitter, cause I didn't even know it had a video.

(Also, how HOTTTT are Adam Levine and Pharrell in that video? I die.)

Don't judge me for this next one.

Dancing Crazy by Miranda Cosgrove. Yes, she's a Disney starlet and yes, the song is annoying as hell. But that refrain sticks in my head for DAYS. I even have all the girls at work singing it and downloading it. It's sickness. (Also, I'm afraid to watch the video for fear it will scar me even further. TWEEN POP. Ack.)

HATE
These damns tiny hairs that ruin every hairstyle every day. They're kinda hard to see but I seriously look like a porcupine. CUTE!

Expensive hair products that end up not living up to... anything. And then you feel like you HAVE to use them up cause otherwise you'd just be throwing money in the trash. And I fear throwing money in the trash.

That's what I'm loving and hating on today. What are you loving this lovely Thursday?

I look at it thankfully that I HAVE hairs to stick up in the air. Positive side of the street!

Love,

I have the crazy hairs, too. You're not alone!

Also, when I saw that piece of cheesecake picture, for some reason, I first thought it was a pair of interesting shoes. Like the whipped cream was some kind of fluffy decoration on the front and then the white cheesecake part was the sole.

Then, I discovered it was cheesecake and it looked even better. ;)

My dream is to quit my job and follow Sara Bareilles around on tour. Love her new CD and the uncharted video. And red velvet cheesecake sounds soooo good.

Ahhhh! Like two weeks ago I noticed a wild clump of those baby hairs just poppin' up near my forehead and they are THE DEVIL. I can't do anything with it, they won't stay down and I look like a freaking idiot. Hate.

Um, we need to see pictures of the "after" of the lights in your kitchen!

I love Sara Bareilles, and in fact I had the CD playing {yep, I still buy CD's} while I cleaned this morning! If you don't have the album I highly suggest you get it because it's fabulous.

That cheesecake has me drooling!

I have those stupid tiny hairs too. And I agree about expensive hair products. I'm pretty sure I've thrown away enough money to buy as a trip to a tropical location for a couple of weeks. Sad.

Thanks for commenting on my guest post over at Aly's place this am.

Have a fab weekend~

oh my goodness, don't show me more desserts, my sweet tooth is out of control (as usual ;)) :) and I have fly away hairs that have a mind of their own!

OMG yesterday in a meeting one of my coworkers asked if I cut my tiny hairs. I wanted to crawl under the table.

You can spray a little hairspray on a toothbrush and use it to smooth down your fly-aways or brush your "baby hairs" into your hairline. I would buy a cheap toothbrush that has flat bristles...it works the best :O)

Those little hairs are the worst!!! I am loving the thought of summer right now - even though its cold, wet, and dreary here!

The only thing to tame those stray hairs? The "Extra Firm" travel sized hairspray from Walgreens. Serious. Ridiculous hold without the weight or crusty of other hairsprays.

Red Velvet Cake .... I.die!!! Yumm

Oh. My. Goodness. Those little hairs will be the death of me. The worst is after you do your hair straighten it or whatever and then when you finally try and put your hair up or anything THEY STICK UP!

So girlfriend, I feel your pain!
Good luck!

xx

I know I'm like a week late with this comment, BUT....I love that Sara Bareilles song and video! That whole cd is fabulous, but the video is hilarious. Love that it also features so many of my favs (BEN FOLDS!).

I have the same tiny hairs. It's a pain. I was told by a gal at work that she never noticed them... until I pointed them out.
