Christmas 2010

Happy 2011, lovelies!

I took a much-needed vacation from posting over the holidays so... I'm back!

I hope everyone had a verry blessed and merry Christmas.

For the first time in quite a while, Christmas felt quite merry and bright this year. It's hard to celebrate a holiday when someone you love is missing - but I do have to say it felt a bit easier this year. Not as many stolen tears as in years past.

And of course getting some pretty awesome gifts doesn't hurt, either!

I have to say, my dad is definitely not one to get into holiday-gift-giving - he thinks it's kinda silly and doesn't understand the idea of getting "the perfect gift" but he and my little brother definitely put in more effort this year (probably for my sake).

A peek at some of my gifts:
New scarf, book that promises to teach me how to work my Canon Rebel, iTunes gift card, a GPS!, new favorite nail polish: Sephora by OPI "Brunette on the Internet", BadGal lash mascara, Barnes & Noble gift card, new headphones, a comfy new robe to encourage my sloth-like ways, a trashy novel, some sparkly earrings, and a new blush brush.

The new iPod stuff was to go with the gift I bought myself right before Christmas:

Not an iPhone, just an iPod Touch. Before I decided to go all iPhone (if the rumors are true that the phone is coming to Verizon sometime this year...), I had to try out the machine for myself.

So I bought myself an iPod I totally didn't need. Oops.

That's the benefit of living at home in your 20s, my friends. Too much disposable income.

(That was a joke. There's never enough money!)

(Me on Christmas 2010. Unshowered, no makeup, first time I left the house all day. It was perfect.)

Definitely a Christmas to remember.

----------------------------

Anyway, I seriously can't believe it's 2011.

Where does the time go??

Did you have a very Merry Christmas this past year?? I missed you all!

Sounds like you had a great holiday! You will have to share your thoughts on the new ipod. I have an old one, and have been debating on getting a new one. Hope you are having a great start to 2011!

Glad to hear there's hope for brighter holidays in the future. We didn't even celebrate Christmas this year, for two reasons. We couldn't emotionally deal with it and we had originally planned to be on vacation, so we really couldn't even fake our way through gift buying/giving.

I've also heard the Iphone was coming to Verizon, but when I asked them, they said they didn't know yet. boo! I am hoping they get it soon...I'm dying for one but don't want to switch carriers!
