Three.

Three years. A lot can happen in that time frame.

On one hand, it's not really that long.

But so much has happened. So much time has passed.

There are days when I feel guilty because I don't miss you enough...

And then there are days when I am positive that nobody can understand how much I miss you.

I miss you, every single day.

I still wish for just one more day or one more piece of good advice.

I love you mom.

I'm so sorry sweetie. That's a beautiful picture of you and your mom. There aren't words that can fill the void, or cure the ache, but, just know that you are an amazing young woman and your mom would be very proud of the person you've become.

It'll be seven years for me this winter. It still seems like yesterday.

Hugs darling!

Hi there,

I randomly came across your blog just now. Your post brought me to tears - tears of joy and tears of understanding. I lost my mother 3 years + 1 month ago to cancer as well. She was 54.

It's hard. It's hard when memories start fading and pictures start getting older.

I know, without a doubt, our mom's are proud of us!

Feel free to email me. I don't have a blog myself but happy to introduce myself :)

sarah.k.holmes@gmail.com

Take care!

Thinking of you. I lost my dad 7 years ago, but still feel him with me. I spoke to a priest the other day and he said that God gives us the gift of forgetting the pain, but keeping the wonderful memories with us.:)

God it's like you took the words right out of my mouth. I feel the same day about my father..and with his birthday coming up next weekend, they are ringing louder than ever.

I am so sorry, I know no words can make it better, nor can any one person relate to your loss completely or understand the incredible and unique relationship you most likely shared with your mom.

Your post is very touching. It's great that you, memorialized her in your blog, now she is not only your memory, but is also known and remembered by many other people.

I find people who are close to us, stay with us long after they disappear from our lives; they're in our decisions, our thoughts, our actions and our emotions. They shape pieces of who we become, and in that sense, they never leave us, because in ourselves, we see parts of them reflecting back at us.
