This is It.

For real, I'm done with the questions. I mean... I truly enjoy answering them and chatting with everyone... but geesh 52 days of questions in a row is BORING.

So here we go.

The Branches
said...I've been looking for a cardigan for fall/winter. What is your favorite place to shop and is there a cardigan sweater you can't live without?

I love LOFT, TJ Maxx, Forever21, and H&M. I think H&M usually has a good mix of some plain-ish sweaters that work with lots of outfits.

However.

I have a bone to pick with the cardigan people. Why do you make freaking sweaters that stretch out and don't hold their shape?! For the love of all that is polyester does NOTHING hold shape?

Therefore, I don't have a favorite. And you can bet if I find one I'm gonna talk about it.

A "good" cardi, to me, has some synthetic materials in it because the 100% cotton ones just end up misshapen lumps. Hate that.

I wish I had a better answer to your question. But I don't.

Tamara said...Question...I'm looking for a cardigan w/pockets! Any ideas?? My office is FREEZING and makes cardigans pretty necessary and it'd be nice to have one w/pockets. I can't seem to find any though.
I have the exact same problem and no good answers. H&M usually has a few to choose from... but all my other cardis are random finds from TJ Maxx. Sorry Tamara. You should go shopping with Becky!! (See above question.)
Jennifer S. said... What is the easiest way to curl your hair? Curling iron, curlers, twisting around a straightener or some other great idea that i haven't heard?
I vote curling iron or foam rollers. I hate hot rollers cause they just yank my hair out of my head.

I hate the straightener-curl. I know lots of girls have cute looks with this but it's hideous on me. Hate.

The key to curls (on this fine-haired girl) is product. I use spray gel if I'm using foam rollers or hairspray with a curling iron. It just helps hold the curl so much better. So much.

katie@tulsadetails said...I am a new follower, so sorry if you have a million posts answering this question, but I am always dying to know if people have met a celebrity. If so, do tell!

I met Brian McKnight in an elevator once in Indy. That's it, I think.

Oh and I "met" Regis from about 10 feet away at a Notre Dame football game. He said he liked my t-shirt. Can't find the t-shirt but it was cute.
Amber @ A Little Pink in the Cornfields said...What would be your theme song if you had to have one?
Hero by Mariah Carey. I don't even like it anymore... but it's always been my favorite. Has been since fourth grade.
Blogger Kate (Southern-Belle-Simple) said...how are you settling in to your new place? do you find it hard to make a new living space feel like home? sorry that was 2 questions!
Not settling in well at all! I'm a moving disaster. Lord help me if I ever have to move more than 200 miles. I'm gonna be a wreck.

And I don't particularly stress about feeling "like home." Home is where my stuff and my people are. But mostly my stuff.

Hey, you all know I love my products. Don't judge.
megan. said... What's your favorite thing about yourself?? And what's something un-ordinary that you like to eat? (I like cinnamon ice cream with peanut butter--amazing.)
I like my sense of humor. I can always make people laugh and feel comfortable.

I don't really eat anything un-ordinary. I freeze apple sauce to make apple sauce popsicles, is that weird? (It's healthier than the sugar water I love so... yeah, I don't think it's weird at all.)

I think for me - the thing about my eating is the quantity or volume. I eat a lot.

Blogger Princess Aurora said...I want to know what is one thing you miss from your teenage years. Clothing item, Makeup, Shoes... whatever!

My metabolism. Would you believe that I started eating a bowl of ice cream a night in about the 7th grade because I couldn't find pants long enough with such a small waist?

Yeah, I hate myself too. And don't worry, the ice cream has since caught up to me. Along with bad eating habits.

I also miss a kick-ass pair of leopard print pumps. I wore them constantly in high school. Unfortunately, I broke them my freshman year of college walking into work. It was a sad day. (I cried later that night, about the shoes. Not kidding.)

Blogger Sarah said...I know you are an avid reader....but I'm going to force you to pick a favorite. My question is: what are your favorite fiction and non-fiction books??
My favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie, which I believe is non-fiction.

I used to think my fav fiction book was Confessions of an Ex-Girlfriend... but to be honest I bet it's been 4+ years since I've read it. So.... I don't have a favorite.

I'm borderline obsessed with Kelly Corrigan's book The Middle Place, also a non-fiction book. If you haven't read it, please please do. It's amazing. I laughed and I cried. (I just ordered her new book, Lift. Don't worry, I'll get you all the full review asap.)

Basically, I've never met a book I didn't like. Except ones without hearts. Those I can do without.

Blogger Melissa said...What are your absolute favorite pair of pants? Like "would-absolutely-die-if-they-were-in-a-suitcase-that-an-airline-lost" favorite pair of pants.
I don't think I have a pair. I love the more-expensive line (maybe called Luxury Stretch??) Express Editor pants. But I'd more likely die if the airplane lost my toiletries. I have very sensitive skin and that stuff takes time and effort to replace!

Blogger KatiePerk said...My hair needs help. It is huge! Which movie star would you want to play you in a story about your life?
No help on the hair. I am of the fine-haired variety and such hugeness is my envy every day.

And obviously I want Heidi Klum to play me in the movie of my life. I know she's not an actress... but who doesn't want to be a hot blonde supermodel, really?

And we survived Q&A. Exhale.

And if I survive work tonight... I'm off for a week. Praise the lord.

Happy Tuesday!

You are EXACTLY right! Cardigans do not hold their shape very well at all and I have had that problem as well. Anthro had a bunch but I don't want to spend a load of money especially on something that has to be dry cleaned. I shall go to our tried and true...TJ MAXX!! Woohoo!

ann taylor loft has longer cardis with pockets!

Great post! I love Ann Taylor, J.Crew, and TJ Maxx for cardi's- but you are so right- they never hold their shape!!!

OK, Nordstrom juniors section has the BEST cardigans. I have one in like 10 colors and have had some for 5 years and they still fit. LOVE them. Express is a good runner up for caridigans too. Oh, and I found awesome leopard print pumps at Nordstrom recently--they were $50. Again, juniors department. Love, love, love them.

And I totally ditto the whole eating like crap when you're younger thing catching up with you. I used to cry because a size 0 was too big and I had to wear kid clothes!!! HAHHAHA. How stupid I was!

I'm sure you're exhausted but these have been really fun to read!

P.S. I'm on the hunt for the perfect cardi as well. They're so right for all occasions...

i like the target cardigans. i get them a little small because of the fact i didn't want them to loose shape, but i don't think that'd be a problem with them. the only thing is they are short.. loft does have long cardigans with pockets. i have a linen blend one.
