Guys. It's supposed to be Wine Wednesday and I haven't even had time to drink wine.
I'd say on a scale from one to crisis this is way too close to crisis to be comfortable.
But I guess we'll just have to be wine-free this week.

In the process of moving, I unearthed some treasures that had been in storage for the past year.
You see, there is this place called Holland, Michigan. A wonderful home for all things Dutch. Like tulips and this lovely lady and wooden shoes.
But my friends, Holland has a dark side.
Very dark.
And in approximately 1979, my parents went to that dark side.
And came home with this
It was laid to rest this week to the big trash pit in the sky. Only 15 years past its prime.
In other news, you can click here to see that this candle does NOT come in orange only. And, hold me, I just trashed a $5o candle.
Wow. Just wow.
Do you have any old "family treasures" hanging around that shouldn't be? Cause I know I've got more where that came from!!
Happy Wednesday!

Oh man, those candles were ALL THE RAGE back in my day (do you like how I say that as if I'm an old woman?)
There were far more dark treasures in Holland, I personally left them there, for a reason.
Oh man, my Granny LOVES those candles! I'll excuse her, she's 87. BUT, I WILL NOT excuse the candle shop in Fredericksburg, Texas that ONLY sells these candles!! A WHOLE STORE! Still in existence! Holy cow! How could they possibly still be in business?!?!
hahaha I have seen candles like this, but just not in person or in someones home!
Sometimes people just need the push to toss things, its a good thing you were there to right the wrong of the candles existence!
There's a town in Colorado called Boulder, that is a mecca for hippy, free spirits and those kinds of candles can be found all over the place there! It's kind of scary. lol.
HA HA HA HA HA! You know there is a factory where you can watch them being made? You can even make your own if you so choose? Yeah, and they are expensive.
This is so freakin funny, and really really scary that I don't even bat an eye at them.
A $50 candle??? wth! I may have to do some cleaning before I head back to uni to see what I find
Wow, I just threw one of those EXACT candles away... and I am a hippie, but I don't think it's cool, nor would I pay $50 for it. lol. I believe my grandma gave it to me thinking I'd love it.
That is one wild looking candle and I cannot believe it costs that much!
Big Ups to Michigan!
HAHAHAHA I am absolutely DYING at this post because both my parents, and their families are from Holland...I'm actually going there this weekend. I think my parents had a couple of those candles and I know that my grandparents had a TON of those...in fact when I went to Dutch Village (sadly a real place haha) when I was younger I think I've seen those being made! Love the shout out to Holland MI!
i can remember going places on vacation and being MESMERIZED by them making those candles as a kid!!
I watched an episode of "How It's Made" where they showed how those candles are made. It was a pretty neat process, but when I went to check them out, I was amazed at how much they cost!
I so remember those candles! Awesome! haha!
