This Post Brought to You By the Year 1992

Since the humidity jumped up into the 234th percentile (no, I have no clue what this means. But it feels appropriate.) this week, I have been having Hair Issues.

It's not so much the fact that my hair gets poufy (cause it doesn't, it gets flat) or icky... but it just feels disgusting. The fact that my hair is brushing my neck and my face just... ick. I feel like a sweaty, gross mess.

And then I found this little guy floating in the bottom of an old bag of junk:
Ringing any bells?

That, my friends, is a vintage TopsyTail.

Apparently not that vintage because you can still purchase one.

Anyway, to keep my hair as far away from my person as possible... I have been rocking the upside down Topsy Tail.

(Seriously, try typing out Topsy Tail a few times. It totally messes with your mind cause it does NOT seem like it should be spelled like... that.)

And the Finished Product:
My very professional work hair.

Yes, I rock a ponytail to work constantly. Deal with it.

Happy Friday!!

OMG I remember those! My hair is long enough now where I can rock it again! Ha. I've never seen the upside down Topsy Tail. Have a great weekend!

Girl it's a twist to the pony tail and I rock a pony tail to work all the time. My hair is super long and my cubicle is next to a window that has the sun coming through in the afternoon which means it gets HOT at my desk!!
Pony tails worn low or with simple variations (such as the upside down topsy turvy) are just fine!!

I totally forgot about the topsy tail and the super easy and cute look it creates. I wear ponytails to work all of the time so I think I need to start adding this cute look to my usual go to hairstyle!

haha well I think rocking the topsy tail is better than being a giant sweatball haha!

Yes- I totally remember those! If you are going to rock a pony tail then you might as well have it look cute like that! I love how that looks!

That's actually pretty cute :-) Much better then a regular topsy tail.

Have you tried an anti-humidity hairspray? It works! I'm currently using one by Garnier Fructis and it definitely makes a difference.

I grew up on the topsy tail! Unfortunately it has recently become my cats' favorite toy. Major sads. But now I'm inspired to break out the style again! :)

You're so lucky for flatness. You'd die if you saw what my hair has become. It fros out and is wavy and frizzy--all terrible combo

SO CUTE! I do my hair in a pony tail for work almost ALL the time. Practical that way. Don't feel bad Lol

My hair does the same nasty flat thing in the humidity so even if I wear my hair down at first, it eventually makes itself up into a ponytail because it ends up just grossing me out.

I love the topsy tail!

Pony tails unite! I've been rocking a side pony with a french braid down the side...ugh that totally doesn't describe it correctly but it's awesome. Trust.
