The Universe Giveth & Taketh Away

Ok, remember how I lost my magical yoga pants last week? (Well, I didn't lose them last week but I noticed they were lost last week. Good.)

Good news. They're found!
(Horrible pic, eh?)

And because the Universe and I are in an epic battle for control, you're totally gonna see this next sentence coming.

My favorite ring is missing.

Remember the one?

Yep, haven't seen it since at least Monday - maybe Sunday.

Not a happy camper.

Is the universe pissing anybody else off today??

P.S. Notice how I blame the universe when I have nobody but myself to blame? Oops.

Try and look for something else and you might find the ring. It works for me most days. Then again, you might upset the balance and lose another thing, but then that would be three and you'd be done. Everyone knows the universe likes stuff to happen in threes.

I'm glad you found you're favorite pants but now lost your favorite ring! I would be so mad about the ring.. But I like Clemson Girl's advice.. everything happens in 3's so stop looking for it, you'll find it, but then something else will be missing; hopefully nothing important!

Have a good day :)

As a good Catholic girl perhaps you have heard of St. Anthony - finder of lost things-try saying a prayer to him and perhaps you will find it. I have found it works most of the time. Jill (a lurker)

Pray to St. Anthony! My Grandma got me a St. Anthony medal for Christmas because I'm constantly losing things. I may have told you this already! I'll say a little prayer to him for ya too!

Ah, what the hell, go ahead and blame the universe. I mean, SOMEBODY'S gotta take the blame...and if you're like me (which I think you are in certain respects) then you certainly wouldn't be blaming yourself. ;)

Sounds like things turn up missing at your place the same way they do at mine. However, I seem to be lucky in finding my missing things...they are all conveniently (and poorly, I might add) hidden behind my son's bedroom door. Oh, that child. I've gotta nip his sticky fingers syndrome in the bud now or he's gonna lead a life of crime.

Why, God. Why me?! LOL

Maybe you need to misplace the pants again. Obviously you aren't allowed to know where everything is.

prayers for your ring. I hate when I lose things.Thought I'd tell you a story w a happy ending...

My hubby is a plumber extrodinare. We have a very wealthy customer who lost one of her rings in the bathroom. She called & our son went to see if he could find it & take the drain apart. No luck-then he was looking around & saw this very thin ring (very old) sitting on a magazine! He was her hero!

Well, if that was not enough..We get another call months later that she has lost her diamond ring! Hubby goes this time...checks the drain, searches, & wouldn't you know it, it was sitting inside that little overflow hole! Well now the lady is estatic. Hubby is the HERO! Of course, she gets a bill for his labor ($150.) and she also sent us a $100 gift cert to a very nice restaurant.- Well the best part is this lady is a friend of my Mom's...and we find out the diamond ring is worth $100,000. now that lady sure has a loving husband!

and the story has a happy ending. Hope you find yours...Know a good plumber?
