Someday I'll Post Again...

With pictures and maybe an actually story from start to finish.

Currently, I am sitting in my kitchen eating Lucky Charms, which were purchased on a whim on Friday and obviously I was having a sweet tooth moment.

In about 2.5 hours I have a job interview (in person, as opposed to the phone interview I had on Thursday).

And I just realized that of my 2 go-to job interview outfits.... both have been lost in the shuffle of moving. In August.

So now I have two half outfits.

That don't match AT ALL.

So. I'm gonna go shower and pretend that I am not COMPLETELY unprepared for this interview. I mean, I know my stuff... but other than that... nope, nothin.

And so help me God if she offers me the job on the spot? O crap am I unprepared.

So. Let's pretend I'm calm and collected this morning and let me ask you this:

Have you ever found gainful employment (ie had a good job interview) while you were internally living out a complete SPAZ moment?

Do discuss.

And I promise... eventually, I'll post about something less boring.

I hope.

Good luck today! I'm sure you'll be able to put something together! I had an interview the other day and just left my jacket on since it was cold, maybe you can get away with that!!

On a completely different note, I wonder why the weight wouldn't come off. I really love everything else about this pill and knowing now what you told me I probably will stay on it. I haven't had my period yet on the pill so I have no idea what it will be like! Hopefully short!

Good Luck! You'll do great :) & I'll be sending good vibes your way.

The job I'm currently at (& have been for 4 years). I didnt even know they existed. and I had no idea who they were or what they did when I went into the interview. I really only think I was hired then because I was a cheerleader growing up & the woman who hired me is a Twirl coach. HAHA really. now we're the best of friends.

Just keep smiling and breathe!!! :)

Good luck! For my job interview for my last job, I pulled together a gray skirt, black blazer, and pink blouse, and still got the job. I did something similar for my current job as well - and later found out that my now boss was impressed that I didn't do a traditional suit. Hope the interview goes well!

Good luck! Wow them with your personality and knowledge of their company and the job you want and the outfit won't matter as much! Unless, of course, you go in rocking, say, a pair of lime green Chucks... :)

Absolutely.

In the interview for my current job, I had to stop in the middle and pause because my ears were RINGING. It was painful and I felt so stupid then I told them my ears were ringing. And you know what - my boss still raves about how awesome I was in my interview. (2-1/2 years later.) Guess he forgot that whole ears-ringing part.

Hope that makes you laugh and gives you some confidence!! You'll be great!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Yes! I had a job interview about two years ago, and there was horrid weather that day. The wind broke my wind-proof umbrella and it was raining cats and dogs. I parked across the street, but I arrived inside the building looking like a sopping wet mess. The security guard asked me why I was there and I wanted to cry when I told him I had an interview. He told me to calm down and I went to the bathroom to dry myself off, including using the hand dryer to dry my suit and hair.

In the middle of the interview I had a brain fart and I was so sure I bombed it. I didn't even bother sending a thank you note, which I always do after job interviews. But a week later, they called and offered me the position!

Moral of the story: if it's yours, it's yours, and no amount of screwing up will take it away from you! Good luck :)

Yes, I have and it was one of the best jobs I ever had!

Briefly, I went on the interview - there were two young women. One went to school with my husband (boyfriend at the time) - both had an unknown crush on the other. Thank gawd that didn't work out. The other one hugged me hello. Talk about freaking your interviewee out.

So I was miraculously called in for the second interview. It was a writing test. As I was taking the test, I minimized the screen to go online and search something quickly and when I opened the file back up, instead of my test coming up, the previous candidate's test came up. I was so upset, I quickly closed the file and found mine. I finished the test and ran home.

Well, once home, I called them to tell them what happened - I felt so guilty. Husby was like, you're never getting this job now - they think you're some weirdo. A week later, the offer was in my inbox.

So there you go. Spaz moments do create jobs.

I bet you did awesome!

As for outfits - I will say - NEVER wear white to an interview and stop to get iced coffee on the way. I speak from experience!

Sweet! I hope it goes well.

I left my last job with out another one lined up because I was just THAT miserable there.

And a month later I lucked in to my current job. The woman actually said at my interview "I don't really have a spot for you. But you're great. I'll MAKE you a job."

Good luck!

I hope it went well! Those are so stressful!

While interviewing for my current job, I was freaking out about my last job. The managers were being d-bags about the fact that I was looking for work, even though I let them know months before that i'd be looking for a job.
