I Love Everyone. XOxo

Ok, yesterday was a heck of a day. Not only did I spend the entire first half of my day running around like a chicken with my head cut off, but then I had to head into work. Retail.

As soon as I walk into the store, I can tell it's going to be a craa-zy day. Seriously, customers were literally shouting at me and chasing after me for help - within the first 10 minutes. As I was putting my coat and purse away a customer literally shouted to me for help.... and I wasn't even technically working yet.

Oy vey. So I actually stayed after my shift until 9:30ish because we were just slammed. And I was frazzled. Nothing like being pulled in 500 directions to make you feel completely incompetent!

So as I'm leaving I finish off the can of Coke I had been nursing all night. I figured that I would be exhausted so a tiny bit of caffiene wouldn't hurt. Famous last words.

I get home and find out that a friend of a friend has an opening in her office that is pretty fantastic. And she had sent out a call to our friends asking to pass it along to any qualified candidates. Me.

Thing is, the application is due tomorrow. And I work all day today and tomorrow - but I really want them to have it today before they leave for New Years. Soo last night I'm up on the computer trying to write a cover letter.

Do you know how many times I have re-written that cover letter since June? Probably 20ish times. Some of them are lighthearted, some of them are boring, and most of them suck. So I get all anxious (plus the tiny bit of caffeine) and when I try to go to bed at midnight? Hahahahaha.

Eyes wide open. Racing heart.

So I get up and spend two hours twittering trying to write up a decent cover letter. Finally get to bed around 2. Wake up at 7 am. Repeat yesterday all over again. Oy vey.

Despite my having a mental breakdown today (it's totally gonna happen, I just know it), I am in a fabulous, phenomenal mood.

Do you all know Sarah of The Ratpack blog? Well luckily I do because she is just one of those sweet and kind people that everyone should have in their lives.

Yes, I'm a lucky girl.

So, darling that she is, Sarah (doesn't she have an awesome, original name? Just like mine! Love it!) heard my plight in yesterday's post about the dang Gap Outlet cardigan and she up and marched herself over to her local Gap Outlet and picked it up for me.

Seriously, how awesome is she?

And if her being amazingly sweet isn't enough... can we talk about how together she looks in this picture. Adorable coat, adorable purse (actually, Sarah, I love the purse. Where's that lil beauty from??), and is that a cute little dress or jumper under that coat? She's adorable.

So despite what is going to be (I'm just sure of it) a loong and exhausting day, I am going to have a smile on my face for all of it.

Because seriously, I'm just the luckiest girl.

On a somewhat unrelated note, thank you for all your sweet comments yesterday. I think my post was totally bratty but it's good to know that we're all having a wee bit of the Christmas blues.

And let me just say that 2009 better be a kickass year for everyone. I just think we need it, don't you?

Thanks again, Sarah!! You're amazing!!

oh my gosh! I'm seriously blushing right now! You are too kind! Um, so kind of a win-win when I can tell my husband I MUST go to the mall - my friend needs me!! So I go to do some shopping of my own too :)

I love you to the moon and back for saying I look cute in the pic! I'm sick and I felt like I was drowning in my mucus yesterday (sorry), so that made my day! The purse is my fave and it's a Christmas present from last year (Vera Bradley -limited edition), and my coat is the ever fab Forever 21.

Let us know about the job!! Sounds awesome if you will be working with someone you like - that's sooo important!
