So, I love to hear about other people's beauty routines. Sometimes people tell me about a particular task and I am floored that I never worked it into my routine. And then I feel so uncouth. (Do you know what uncouth means? I think it's a fabulous word!)
Today I thought I'd offer up one of the many strange things I do.
Number One: I go on periodic eyebrow-growing-out binges. For one thing, I HATE super-skinny eyebrows. Brows are meant to frame the eyes, and I like a good frame. Who doesn't? One of my best friends gets married a week from next Saturday, so I'm "growing" mine until next week sometime.
I'm lucky because I don't have super dark eyebrows... I probably couldn't get away if mine were much darker. I hate how it looks while they are all out of control.... but I love how good they look after I grow them out.
Do you have any weird eyebrow habits? Are you an everyday tweezer? A never tweezer?
I'd share more weird beauty habits... but I need to make sure none of you are going to stone me for having odd grooming habits.
-------------------------------------
And now, I need your HELP!
Ok, I've posted about my hair before.
I've shown you some of the high points.
I've shown you some before pics....
...and the after pics.
I've been blonde forever. I've been getting highlights forever, year-round (although not that frequently).
The pic directly above on the right, taken in March, was my last cut - although I had highlights in April.
So here I am today:
I have an appointment for a color and cut... so what should I do? Keep it long? Chop it off? Keep the highlights?
Cast your vote or forever hold your peace!
And then make me feel good about my out-of-control eyebrows by sharing your weird beauty habits. I know you have some!

What do you use for makeup?
Hey Anonymous - I'll do a whole post about my makeup routine next week. I always say I'm going to do it but always forget!!
Hey Love!
What about bangs for fall! They aren't too drastic and they grow out pretty fast (well fast enough to be tucked behind your ears if you end up hating them).
Eye Brows-I tweeze only the strays way far out of the "frame" on a weekly basis. I like very thick Kim Kardashianesque brows too!
and finally I posted my beauty routine here:

First, I need to do the exact same thing to my eyebrows and let them grow, so I don't think your's are weird. Second, I LOVE your hair in the "after" picture when it's curled, so I vote that you do whatever you do to make it look like that!
Okay I totally let my eyebrows grow out too- but not for the same reasons. I am just terrified of getting them waxed. I beyond hate it. I do it every couple of months but seriously- it terrifies me and I have to work up the courage to walk in and get them done!!!!
Second- I am loving your hair at the moment! I am stumped at what you should do! Maybe a trim and some layers around the face? I wouldn't cut too much off the length though because I LOVE your hair and this length!
I'm in the growing out phase right now, too...I need to get back in the habit of regular waxing. My favorite girl went on maternity leave so I've been tweezing, but I owe it to my brows to just get a nice proper waxing. ;-) I, unfortunately, have dark brows so I'm very close to looking like a hot mess right now.
As for your hair, I say cut it a bit and try going a smidge darker. I love darker hair in the fall/winter. Of course, I am a brunette so....
I do the same thing with my eyebrows! Part of it is out of fear since I have had some pretty bad eyebrow waxes in my past but also its because I LOVE how they look freshly shaped. I also always try and get my eyebrows waxed on a Friday this way they look freshest for the weekend... I'm a dork.
No idea about the hair... I am the worst and can't even style mine!
I say keep it long and blonde. You have such pretty hair!
I went to a friends waxing lady that does my eyebrows once a month. It's pretty dang expensive considering it takes her a total of 5 minutes and cost $22, but I feel amazing and so clean after she finishes. It is a work of art, so find some random person you like and ask who does their eyebrows!!
On the hair, I LOVE your hair "after" pic when it is flipped out. Supper sassy and looks really healthy!
Good luck with it all :)
your hair is so pretty, i say keep it the same! don't chop it ;)
I totally agree with you I HATE pencil thin brows. I love your hair as a blonde, maybe a little shorter and shape it up a little bit...but you look beautiful anyways so I dunno!
Here's my weird beauty routine (or 'Secret Single Behavior' a la Sex and the City):
I floss my teeth in the shower. I have an Oral B floss wand (you can pop out the floss after every use and just reload) so it makes it so easy to do - and I do it when the conditioner is sitting in my hair. It's become part of my shower routine and it's been a great way to work that into my daily habits. It's second nature now! So now when my dentist asks me if I'm flossing every day, I can truthfully say yes!
Every time I get my eyebrows waxed, the tech never listens to me and I hate how they look. After that, I grow them out and do them myself.
I think you should cut it into a bob with bangs and go dark chocolate brown, like shiny brown.
Then again, I've been contemplating bangs for TWO MONTHS and still don't have the guts to do it.
DREAM BIG!
I'm growing out my brows right now too! I'm just tired of the shape and ready for something new.
layers & side swiped bangs!
I completely agree with you about eyebrows! Mine grow like weeds (ugh) and I'm horrible at tweezing them myself. I can never get the lines straight! So I have to get them waxed every two weeks, and they grow in huge like caterpillers in the meantime!! Gross lol.
Your hair is gorgeous!! I vote chop it because I want to chop mine but I'm too scared, so I can just live vicariously through you:)
I'm a habitual boredom tweezer! It's therapeutic!
Ugg, I HATE super thin brows, both my bff and my sister do it and I think they look weird. A quote straight from my waxing girl? " They're supposed to be sisters, not twins" because I tend to freak out that mine are totally crooked on my face.
As for your hair.... I say get a trim, I really like it curled up!
My vote is for a bob that hits right above the shoulders. That would be sassy and it's something you've never done.
i think side bangs would look really cute on you! (like jennifer aniston when she chopped some)
i lovvve curly hair, and i think yours looks really cute like that. if you really want to cut it, id say no more than 3 inches - in a cute bob. =)
Your hair is GORG. when you let it go wavy! I love it straight, too. Maybe side swept bangs?
I have barely any beauty routine. I keep my natural brow shape and only pluck (when I remember...) the strays. I use a little Cetaphil lotion and that's about it. I guess I am a girly failure :)
you have GREAT HAIR!!!! It always looks pretty! I say just trim and keep highlights! :)
I have dark eyebrows! I don't get them waxed..I use tweezers!! It's annoying because mine are pretty coarse!
oooh!! I love beauty secrets and hair appointments!! First of all, I NEED to do this with my eyebrows! Why have I never thought of this?? I don't like mine super-thin either, but I'm such a habitual plucker. I can't stand strays. But I'm going to have to just suck it up, because they could really use a total makeover. As for your hair -- do you want to do something crazy? I think you would look so cute with a sassy bob! I just cut mine into a bob and I love love love it. If you don't want to go crazy, I love both of your "after pics." And you could warm it up a bit for the fall, if you like :) can't wait to see what you do!!
I hate doing my eyebrows so I never do them but I absolutely love how they look after I get them done. I suppose it's for the same reasons you grow yours out. I hate skinny eyebrows and if I start plucking away I know I'll mess them up and end up with some little skinny things. Unfortunately, I have very dark eyebrows so except for the first week after I get them done, they look like shit.
Well I'm 17 and I have always done my own eyebrows and when looking through old photos I have had SO MANY DIFFERENT EYEBROW SHAPES! NO kidding-- some good and some bad! Right now I'm growing them out so I can get them done at a salon so they'll shape them but I don't want them super thin!
