This morning, I woke up determined to try on this cute red bra I wore, um, *cough* six or so years ago.
I know, I am nuts, right? In the past six years, I have gained at least 20 pounds and a few cup sizes.
But when I woke up this morning, it didn't seem that important... I just wanted to wear the red bra.
Well, I didn't find the red bra. But you know what I did find?
18 bras. Eighteen. And I suppose I should mention at this point that I got rid of 4 bras on Friday (including the red bra I was looking for this morning-can you say space case?). I clearly have so many bras I can't even keep track of them.
So if you count the bras I just trashed, that means I had 22 bras. Twenty-two, the same as my age. One bra for every year of my life. Or something.
Which brings me to my point: I have too many bras. Sure, a bunch of them are useful and good and I love them. But others? Need to go.
Polka dot bras on the left - you are itchy.
Hot pink bra - you are too big.
Black lacy bra on the left - you have no purpose in life and are lumpy.
Bra with blue lace on the right - you are the most comfortable bra I have ever owned but your elastic is pretty much shot.
Do you have a lot of bras? Do you have this many? Do you unnecessarily hold onto bras that are a size too big or too small because you might grow or shrink? Because I never do that (liar!).
I am leaving these bras on my bedroom floor until I pare them down... the surplus bras just take up too much space and they don't even fit - so why am I keeping them around?
Share with me your bra problems... so I won't feel like such a clotheshorse brahorse(?).
Happy Monday!
P.S. I am showing everyone how to get the best performance out of their mascara over here. Go check it out.

I have this thing about buying a cup too small so it gives me cleavage. Of course with this comes spillage, so I have to choose which bra to wear very carefully with my designated outfit! It seems that a D or DD just flattens me down and hides them. I like to push up! haha
I wish I had 22! I don't have that many though. I do tend to hold on to different sizes because sometimes the size fluctuates...
I have way too many bras too! I keep them just to have them because "you never know"... I know that some of them are too small, some of them the clasp have broken, some of them I cannot wear with certain clothes because they are bright (seriously, why did I buy a giraffe print bra with ORANGE strapes?)OH, Victoria's Secret you get me everytime...
I have 7 or 8 regular bras, 2 strapless, and 10 or so sports bras...plus one corset-y type from my wedding.
18 seems like a lot, but when I count my sports bras I'm up there too!
I haven't counted how many I have but suffice to say, it's too many. I have bras that are too itchy, too small, too worn but I can't seem to get rid of them. I end up wearing the same four all the time.
I have tons of bras too! But I only tend to wear the same three or four. What a waste, I know!
I have two bras-that's it! I swear! I just switch them back and forth and that's all I need!
I have a lot of strapless bras. There is a certain strapless bra from victoria's secret that I have 5 of...Do I need 5 strapless bras? Probably not...did my puppy chew on the wire on the backs...yes!!
You are too cute! I totally have a drawer full of bras that I never wear too! The red shoes from my wedding were by r.s.v.p. and I got them from zappos online...they were comfortable at first but after a few hours on the dance floor they really hurt my feet!
That's so funny! I don't know why, but I've never been one to always have a lot of bras. I think I have four basics - beige, white, black, and a beige strapless! Man, I am boring.
It looks like they are all in great shape! How do you care for them?? I need a better undergarment care routine.
I barely have boobs so buying bras is always a painful experience for me. I can hardly find ones to fit! So, there are maybe 5 bras in my drawer right now. Pathetic!
I have a ton of bras too! But I just learned that you can give them to Goodwill- I always thought they wouldn't take bras. At least you can help out somebody less fortunate.
