Happy 6th Birthday / 1000 Posts!

On Saturday, my little old blog turned SIX years old.  I can distinctly remember the day during my junior day of college that I thought maybe, just maybe, I could start a blog.  After all, I did have a lot to say.

Maybe.  Lots of worrying and hemming and hawing later, this blog was born.  I hadn't yet settled on "Classy & Fabulous" yet - it was too snobby.

Fortunately, I was wearing the Classy & Fabulous t-shirt that would eventually lead to this blog's title.  Can't say that I'm a genius, but I figured it out eventually.

In grand fashion, I will also hit my 1,000th post this week.  I cannot believe I've had 1,000 things to say.  I was going to say "1,000 unique things" to say... but we ALL know I haven't had that many original thoughts - at least on this blog.

I was hoping to do some sort of grand giveaway for this momentous milestone, but nothing really comes to mind.  Well, probably a Target gift card, but I accidentally on purpose spent all the Target money myself, OOPS.

At the time, I had been reading several "big" blogs and was really just content to read along with other people's adventures.... but I craved a little more interaction.  Which is funny, because I didn't receive my first blog comment until nearly a month later (April 26th).  Back in those days, I know Pinterest didn't exist and Twitter was just 2 years old and I had never heard of it!

I've had lots of highs and lows with this blog over the years and even after neglect and so many bad posts, I'm always excited to bring life back into it and come back to my old friend.

Any chance you'll do me a favor and tell me when you stumbled upon my slice of the internet?

Happy Monday!

"I Really Like You"

Hello, lovelies.

Yesterday on Twitter I sent out an innocent little tweet.

I believe I may have started a (small) wave of nostalgia that only girls can understand.

I am looking for a copy of Dream Phone. I know Susan says she has a copy but I want to cover all my bases. So if you have one you want to sell me... I'll pay good money for that game!! The ones on eBay are selling for like $50!

Did you ever play Dream Phone? Do you understand the awesomeness of that giant pink phone?

Did you think Steve was the hottest guy in the game? (Cause he totally was.)

By the way, if you haven't played Dream Phone and have no clue what I'm talking about... the game is a cross between Clue and um, well I dunno the other one. You have a list of potential traits that could belong to your dream crush, and then you call up a whole list of guys and they help you eliminate these traits until you can narrow down your crush to one guy.

You call that guy and he (hopefully) exclaims, "You're right, I really like you."

I know, riveting.

So do you know the awesomeness of Dream Phone? And, more importantly, do you have a copy you want to sell to me? Cause I'm not even ashamed to pay for it.

Happy walk down memory lane... and Happy Monday!
