Don't Freak Out.

Ladies,
If you follow me on twitter you already know this... but still, you might want to be sitting down.

No seriously, pop a squat, I would hate the liability of you falling over and hitting your head and getting a subdural hematoma (5 points to the Grey's Anatomy watcher!) and then off and DYING ON ME.

I, Sarah, have a date tonight.

*faints with shock*

On June 1st, I wrote a post that said, very hypothetically, I was open to dating again. Within 48 hours of that post going up, it became clear that I had (have?) a secret admirer.

He asked me out a week ago and I have been seriously slammed at work or this would have happened sooner.

I haven't been on a first date in... oh, 7 years, I'd say.

I don't even know what people wear on first dates anymore.

And don't even get me started on this whole texting and dating thing. They didn't do that the last time I was dating!

Hold me, internets. I have the fear.

    Squeee!!! So exciting! From what I've read on Twitter, you've already hung out with him a little? So you know him a little, and you'll be great on the date!! Ahh, texting/twitter/facebook and dating? Yeah, those weren't around last time I dated either. It's so confusing! Too much available information if you ask me.

    TEXTING while dating - didn't Oprah do a whole campaign against that or something? I just can't imagine; bad enough back in my stone ages when email & dating was high tech enough.
