Before and Afters

I mentioned on Monday that I can't a project to save my life.  Today's project is.... finished.

Last summer, I turned these pots from faux-cement to faux-bronze, seen below.

They were nice for last year but I was completely bored with them.  The front of my house was looking way too blah.

A pop of spray paint was just what the doctor ordered.
They are a little bit darker, more teal in person.  The color is "peacock" which I think is a perfect description of the color.

Side note: I love LOVE spray paint.  You can do anything with that stuff!

Now, if only ANY garden store within a 20 mile radius would get my daisies in stock... then I'd be all set.  (Well, that's only 50% true.  I was going to mix my potting soil up yesterday but I only slept 4 hours the night before and I thought I might get barfy if I did any heavy lifting.  Tomorrow, perhaps.)

Friends and neighbors, please tell me that gerbera daisies have not gone the way of the dodo bird.  Because seriously, I have been looking EVERYWHERE and they are nowhere to be found.

Also, are the pots too hideous?  My dad has informed me that the neighbors are going to complain cause they're so hideous.  O-kay.

Happy Wednesday!

  5. They're definitely bright - and different! I guess it depends on what the front porch looks like, to know if they would be ok.

  6. I love spray paint! My current favorite is Rustoleum Key Lime. I need to get geraniums for my planters this weekend. I wonder if wave petunias are available yet??
