Bling Me, Baby

Every couple of months weeks, I go through this phase where I realize I'm aging and that all the cool young girls at work wear tons of eyeliner and bronzer and use hair tools I've never heard of.

It's very distressing, realizing your age.

And so, every now and then, I feel the need to buy cheap F21 accessories to prove to everyone how hip I am.

Obviously this works so well.

Over the past few weeks I've acquired quite a few new accessories.

That have of course sat in my closet because wearing them seems like so much effort, right?

So I share them with you instead.

I'm kind of obsessed with gold and pearls right now. I rocked this ring Black Friday and got soo many compliments.


These little hairbows actually have sturdy little clips (little spring-loaded jaws as opposed to a tiny bobby pin) on the back so they can actually hold a nice chunk of hair. Now I just need to figure out how to wear them.

And clearly I couldn't pass up this little blingy-bow set. Hello, they're adorable. And studded. Love.

And then clearly my blood sugar got a little low and I was weak and bought barrettes. Like old school '80s barrettes.

I'm not sure why I bought these. I predict they'll be chillin' in my accessories drawer for quite some time.


I ordered these earrings online when I had my disastrous F21 shopping spree... and I dunno. They're kinda huge. But fabulous and peachy-gold. But still huge. But I can't return them... so... someday.

And these aren't bling at all... just patterned socks. Hello, leopard and polka dots. It's love, my friends. And I want 53 more pairs.



And then I hopped into the Nordstrom juniors' department by accident and found these lovelies.
I wore them yesterday and got zero compliments. It was a wee bit disappointing.


And then my last impulse buy was this very last-season-ish looking bracelet from Nordstrom. I don't know why, but I just couldn't resist.

It clinks when I shake it. Which means I shake it a lot.

And last but not least... I got these earrings way back in October. But they just had their first outing at work this weekend so of course it's time to show them off.

They're from Francesca's and I was afraid they were too big... but in this picture, I think they're not. Ignore my face. I think I was about to talk. Or spit.

So that's what's blinging in my house. Have you purchased anything sparkly lately??

Oh, and it's CYBER MONDAY!!!!!!!!! Which means I have the whole day off (JOY! JOY!) to online shop.
