Yesterday, it was predicted that we would get around 2 inches of ice and 12 inches of snow.
Yeah, not so much.
I went into work the evening shift at work... and was told we were closing at 1 pm. I was gone, from couch to couch, less than 2.5 hours. Woohoo!
It was icing like crazy yesterday though...

Aren't those little pellets cute? Totally make me want a snow cone.

Last night the wind was absolutely howling. The local news clocked 52 mph wind gusts in my hometown. BRR! We had several power surges here but fortunately the lines are buried in my half of my neighborhood... the above-ground lines had some problems last night! Yuck.
Fortunately, I was able to pop over to Target yesterday for provisions... I'll definitely survive my 2-hour delay this morning.

Yumm.
So... this is the current view outside my window.

The wind is howling louder than I can even convey.
So.
Think it could possibly be another snow day?
My fingers are crossed.
YAY for a snow day!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss a good Indiana snow storm... it was always so exciting! I hope you get another snow day!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! It's icy here in Philadelphia, too! But, not as much as where you are!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your snow day! I work downtown (chicago) and we got one....well, kind of....still have to work from home - but who cares, pj's and candy all day!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm loving our snow day mostly because we still have power whereas most of Texas doesn't!
ReplyDeletethe view out your window looks like the view out mine. the ice is crazy! we've lost a tree and so many branches - it's kinda scary...
ReplyDeleteone plus is that me and my fiance are both still home in our pjs and it's almost 4pm...
those little snow pellets are ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteThe ice & snow & cold....not so much ahaha =)
Stay warm and fingers crossed for a snow day for you
Oh, how I miss snow days! My newspaper never closes... I just have to haul my scared butt in by the skin of my teeth. Looked like lots of fun, though, and the ice definitely reminds me of a snow cone!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so purdy there! That snow looks like sprinkles you could totally top a cupcake with! ha..ha..
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying warm and dry!!! I'm extremely over the snow this year. Hopefully spring shows up soon or I may have to retreat to the South. :) XOXO
